Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
In Adam’s shoes, I would’ve been tempted to let things with Fajo proceed as per canon, then simply delay Data’s final beam-out by a second or so. Fuck that guy; the universe would’ve been a better place without him in it.
But the downside of letting things proceed that way would have been...
I missed that episode when it played out here, and from what I've heard afterwards... well, in his latter days Roddenberry had some good ideas, but then he also had ideas like some of Picard's role in The Bonding.
Nobbling a nation’s economic expansion by leading pirates to raid new-founded colonies and kneecap them so they die out, rather than reach viability? It would certainly be on-brand for ComStar.
Right, misjudged the timeline. My bad.
The rest of the point stands: revealing what he knows would pose two other questions that would get him black-bagged and mind-ripped in a heartbeat: how does he know this thing he has no right to? and what else does he know that he has no right to?
Londo hasn't even met Morden yet, much less sold his soul to him, and any effort towards warning him about Adira's fate would open that whole can of worms about 'how the SI knows all this'. Londo (and/or anyone else in the greater Centauri Republic who found out about that kind of intelligence...
I'd lay good money that ComStar either arranged this little probe, or are outright running it under false colours, to get a real measure of both the Colonials and the tech they've given the Taurians. That they might have someone doing sneaky-peeky shenanigans during this is highly likely.

For Christmas, I give everybody another chunk for my 'Buffy goes into an apprenticeship program' concept:

Still reeling under this latest blow to her world-view, Buffy almost didn’t register the exchange. “B...but I never wanted to...
AIUI, the showrunners honestly tried to make Chakotay genuinely representative of Native American culture; they just got screwed by the fact that the guy they hired as a cultural consultant turned out to be a con-artist and compulsive liar.
Threadmarks: Miniguns: Sadly Less Awesome Than Advertised
Inspired by a certain scene in A California Cainite in Mayor WIlkins’ Court. This one is a scene (probable out-take?) from later on in She Came All The Way From America and contains mild spoilers for Falling Cherry Blossoms.
“Y’know, I actually got to do that, once,” Taz noted offhandly...
Almost as intriguing as circumstances meaning Carol Dallon is willing to reach out to Marquis in common cause (namely: shoving something large and spiky up the asses of Nazis and Nazi accessories). I wonder how 'Heidi' will react when she finds out the truth?
Wow. I know QQ Is For Lewds, but you'd think Star Trek would have at least a little discussion here....
In any case, I might as well throw this plot-bunny out on as many places as I can think of:
Readers of Paint and Powder (over on SB) might remember that I have a minor fixation on the TNG...

"You're what?" Buffy blinked, a little blankly. "You're who the what now?"
"They gave you the 'one girl in every generation' speech, eh?" realised the crazy woman with the long dark-auburn hair and the...

Gordon massaged his eyes as Xander finished laying out his version of events. "Last day of term, and I get all the Americans," he sighed to himself, before redonning his...

“... Good to know, thanks.” Buffy was kind’a squicked by that ‘free-for-all’ line, but let it slide. “And if I have a burning desire not to flunk all my classes?”
“About a block down the road there’s a strip-mall, the Balmoral Shopping Centre. Look for Scholastic Assistance Services, they...
