    The amygdala is apparently about 1.24 to 1.63 cubic centimetres, about the size of a peanut. So you'd need a very fine mesh to guarantee it. The other possibility is that Savage can regrow from any part, e.g. hair follicles, but he just prefers the amygdala because it's somehow faster/easier.
