The regular administrative staff are taking a vacation, and in the meantime, Biigoh is taking over. See here for more information.
A notice about Rule 3 regarding sites hosting pirated/unauthorized content has been made. Please see here for details.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Then it wasn't worth it.
Speculative shots exist in every engagement, even last resort ones. No, *especially* last resort ones. Having one attempt when you have the initiative is fine, since you can pull back. Having one attempt when you're pushed is terrible, since you're facing a trade-off...
Single shot is pure suffering, it's insanely constricting. Even for just ambush, something like a 3-5 shell drum/clip would be a colossal performance boost purely because it'd let pilot take chancy shots and to keep threatening the enemy after firing.
Edit. QQ/net connection wouldn't let me...
On an unrelated note, does Bolt still have 'refine the accidentally-experted nanite system' on his docket? I reckon he could revisit the vampire idea, but instead of flying knives thing do a fast swordsman that deploys deconstructor and harvester nanites through the blade. Fancy midnight...
Yeah, hence me doubting. 'Artificial hand' is kind of intuitive, 'artificial eye', too, but 'artificial connector that lets one attach a bunch of extra eyes' is a bit too abstract. On a narrative level it almost feels like grafting some kind of broad 'all equipment feels like parts of your body'...
That one had visor go over normal eyes with slits to look past it, no? What I mean is full normal vision + full sensor vision, with input from artficial senses not visualized, but sent straight to brain along with the regular ones. Which would require some sort of neural link equivalent to plug...
I'm not sure if it ever came up in the thread, but if Hephaestus can make artificial limb interface, can she also make artificial sensory organ interface? So that a helmet with all kinds of artificial eyes and ears could be plugged in?
Modern English question, sort of: are there any other 1-3 symbol expressions besides the ye olde XXX that would be suggestive or, better yet, obscene without being graphic or a literal word?
>_> Cause I'm more used to connectivity issues where it doesn't matter what the target IP replies so long as it does. Prodding stuff by telnet to see if it complains back about the protocol has been known to happen XD
Right, your version turned out to be a lot more, well, verbose, so I have it...
On PC, getting stuck on the 'Page could not be loaded' stub, then after some time the site loads fine. At the exact same time, using exact same net access, I'm getting in fine on the phone.
