    Really old games and new games do perfectly fine. Direct X 9-11 struggle because Proton isn't ideal for them and you need to use other translation layers for their APIs. They're 50/50, popular ones will have fixes to work well and less popular ones will struggle.

    I mean, you can with windows too. It's just... that you need to reinstall it (or use its restore feature) to fix things, if you're a casual user. You can remove it other ways, but it is much harder than for linux.
