Loki: The God of Magic

Damn, just interested in those with Seidr potential? Haha, here's hoping his pool expands as we go on. Or maybe those like Wanda will be close enough, haha. And interesting, guess we got a slightly increased relationship with the Collector. Looking forward to more.

Which had made him realize he did not have many friends. There was Eitri, but he was more like a colleague that he collaborated with.

Perhaps he could try to be more social. If only there were people who took interest in seidr as much as he had.

He should get a dog.

And then name it Fenrir just to fuck with Odin.

Asgard

1300 A.D.

"Father, I need the assistance of an Einherjar to test something," he requested. His father was in the middle of a tea party. With how peaceful the Nine Realms were, it was the only exciting event to conduct in Asgard.

He would change it.

"Theoric," his father turned to the present guard, "assist my son with whatever he needs."

Theoric slammed his fist over his left breast. "As you command, my king."

"My prince." Theoric bowed, noticeably shallower.

"Come along, Theoric, we have much to do."

"How good are you at seidr practicing?" he asked. The two were walking to an empty training yard.

"My wife has taught me the basics, but my duties do not give me much time to learn."

"Your wife?" he asked, vaguely remembering something about Theoric. "Ah, Lady Sigyn, I believe. I remembered your wedding now."

His wife in the myths of Earth had attended some of the lessons he gave on seidr.

"Correct."

"Did you know one of the reasons my father is the strongest warrior in all of the Nine Realms is because of his seidr?" The question was rhetorical. Everyone knew that his father, in tandem with Gungnir, was the deadliest warrior. A blast from his spear could reduce the strongest of the warriors to ash.

"Indeed. The Allfather is as strong in seidr, as he is with arms," he replied. Just like his father, Prince Loki was a great seidr practitioner. Denizens of the realm eternal adored his creations.

"Yes. Tell me, if every single Einherjar could use seidr to fight, how much would that increase the strength of our armies?" Every Asgardian had seidr coursing through their veins. It was as natural to them as the blood in their veins. Yet, very few took the time to learn it properly. Asgard's warrior culture put seidr on the back foot in that regard.

Theoric stopped. If every soldier could make use of seidr in a similar manner to the Allfather, the results would be devastating. "Twofold, at the least. Yet, there is no way to teach seidr to every single soldier without going to great lengths."

"You don't have to know how to forge a weapon to use it," Loki said. He pulled the prototype sword out of his dimensional pocket.

"Here, take this."

He took the sword, inspecting it. It was well balanced and flexible. "It is well made."

"It is Asgardian steel with a special caveat. I have managed to impart the seidr channeling properties of Uru to it. Now, we don't need our soldiers to go through decades of lessons to use seidr on the battlefield. That is, once I test its effectiveness."

His reason for imparting Uru's innate ability on Asgardian steel was to have a proper material for his big project. Rune arrays could do the job. Yet if a single rune was damaged, or there was a fault in the array, the entire component could explode.

In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to increase the capabilities of Asgard's armies.

"What must I do?" Theoric asked. The younger prince's creations were always well received by the people. He knew this would be no different.

"The sword does everything, but you have to imagine it. For now, try to visualize an energy wave leaving the blade with the intention to cut."

Theoric turned to the practice dummy. Taking his stance, he swung the sword. A golden crescent wave of seidr left the weapon. It struck the dummy, leaving a deep gash on the metal.

Theoric was centuries old. He had seen many things serving the Allfather. He would be described as a serious person by many.

It did not stop him from laughing in delight like a child.

"My prince, this is great," he exclaimed. A sword like this would be worth a fortune across the Nine Realms.

"Go ahead, give it a couple more swings. We still have much to test."

Theoric nodded. He swung the sword over and over again, each one leaving gashes on the metal. He stopped when Loki raised his hand.

"The sword seems to be working excellently. Now, let's test the armor," he said.

"There is armor too?"

"Of course," he said. Waving his hand, he put the armor over the dummy.

"Now, we will be testing its defensive measures first. Go ahead."

The Einherjar swung the sword again. The crescent-shaped wave struck a golden energy field and sputtered away.

Loki had charged the armor with seidr equal to what an Einherjar had. It took six more attacks before the field failed.

"As the armor draws seidr from the wearer, there is nothing I can do except perhaps to add an external source."

"Next, we shall test the remaining capabilities of the armor."

"Should I wear it?"

"That would take too long," Loki muttered. With another wave of his hand, Theoric wore the armor. His armor was stacked neatly at the corner.

"Start by running, and again, try to imagine yourself going faster than before."

His test subject, as a prime example of an Einherjar and a member of the Crimson Hawks, was in top shape. The mortals would not even be able to see more than a blur while he was at full speed.

He started running around the training field. As the armor drew on his seidr, Theoric created a circle of golden light around the field.

Strength and speed tests were great successes. His test subject adapted to the armor quickly. He could jump higher, run faster, hit harder, and had ranged attacks.

Theoric was a great warrior. The armor amplified it, making him greater.

His father was delighted to hear the results from Theoric. He ordered that all the standard equipment, mainly the weapons and armor, be replaced gradually. To that end, Loki was to teach the artisans of Asgard how to make this miraculous metal.

Asgard may not be seeking war, but it was always best to be ready for it.

The reason he had even bothered to create this metal was for his latest idea, the Tenth Realm. A simulated planet that was indistinguishable from reality. Asgard was small, and there were only so many amenities you could build. He could do whatever he wanted on the simulated planet, as could every other Asgardian.

At the same time.

Nidavellir

The dwarves, before he created the realmnet, tended to keep to themselves. The ease of sending a message with a couple of touches was too incredible to pass up. Now, they were less isolationist than before.

They mostly used the connection to exchange ideas with him. The news of the new brand of Asgardian steel had them interested. Eitri himself had sent a message, inviting him to visit the forges again.

"Loki, it has been too long."

"I am sure we all were busy," he said.

"That we are. Come; there is much to talk about."

Eitri led Loki to his abode, serving him chilled ale. "You finally cracked the secrets of Uru, eh? Looking to put us out of work?"

Loki chuckled. He knew Eitri was simply joking. "Don't be ridiculous. The Asgardian steel can't match the strength of Uru. Just as our artisans can't match the talents of your people."

Even if he had managed to replicate Uru, Nidavellir was under Asgard's protection. It would always be defended.

"What is your grand idea, then? I doubt it was merely to make weapons." Creating a metal that could channel seidr like Uru to mass-produce weapons of all things wasn't how Loki worked. There was always a grander idea behind his work.

"A realm inside a computer. One that anyone can enter," he explained. To digitalize a person inside a computer was challenging. The tiniest of errors could have catastrophic consequences.

"For what reason?"

"Anything. You can go there for a vacation. Have a war against simulated armies. Conduct experiments. All without worrying about the consequences."

Asgard was built on a nexus that drew power from Yggdrasil. It powered everything. His home existed because of that nexus. Abandoning it to settle on a planet was not viable. However, creating a planet in a digital environment was.

"The wildest dream of many individuals. Not to face the consequences of their actions," he smiled. It would be a project that could equal Nidavellir once completed.

Loki raised his ale mug. "Exactly."

"By Helheim. Boy, when you succeed, you will change life in ways never seen before. Are you ready for it?" Asgardians were warriors without wars to fight. The simulation rooms had already changed their society. Warriors fought each other over the chance to use the limited number of rooms.

Bilgesnipes, cursed warriors of the Dokkalfar, dragons, trolls, berserkers, and even Surtur were some of the most famous enemies in the simulation rooms.

Loki's new idea of a digital realm would take it to the next step.

"I am."

Eitri stroked his beard. "Something like that would require great power. How do you intend to supply it?"

The nexus that Asgard lay on was a possible source. However, with all of Loki's creations so far, it was already taxed. The boy would need something new to carry on with his project.

"Here," Loki said, handing over another prototype. A smooth golden orb that fit in his palm. He willed it to open, and the top half twisted off. It floated, revealing a green flame.

"How much power can this supply?" The flame was small and did not seem very impressive. Yet, appearances could be deceiving when it came to Loki's work.

"Infinite," he said before considering it, "or rather, eternal."

The last word filled the blank part. "The Eternal Flame. Is that how you created this?"

The Eternal Flame was the source of Surtur's power. When Odin had dreams of Ragnarok, he had defeated the ruler of Muspelheim. Since then, the Eternal Flame has sat in Asgard's vault.

Among many other trophies.

"Yes."

"I am surprised Odin even let you near it. Which means he did not," he said. There was only one individual the Allfather had ever allowed to make use of the Eternal Flame. That person was not the one before him.

Loki put the prototype back into his dimensional pocket. "Are you going to rattle on me, Eitri?"

"Nay," the dwarf shook his head. "I am impressed you managed to keep it a secret. Odin always keeps an eye on the vault."

The Eternal Flame, the Casket of Ancient Winters, the Tablet of Life and Death, the Tuning Fork, and the Warlock's Eye were all powerful tools on their own. They were a testament to Odin's strength. Which is why he always watched over the vault with his seidr.

"I only went there twice. One for a history lesson, the other to get scans of the objects for Realms of Valour."

He could go into the vault whenever he wished. His father did not mind it as long as the items were not used without permission. However, he also knew his father saw him too young to be meddling with the powers of the objects in the vault.

"I had always wondered. Why create something that fabulous when you never seemed interested in going on a great quest unless Thor asked? You used it for more than games, didn't you?"

Unlike Odin, Eitri had actually entered the Realms of Valor several times on Loki's request. He had seen the items sitting in the boy's inventory as items to be used for specific tasks.

He was also sharp enough to realize there was more to these items.

Loki raised an index finger to his lips, smiling.

Eitri guffawed. It served well to know Odin, for all his carefully kept secrets, was blind to Loki's little trick. "Brilliant. How does this work?"

"The Eternal Flame never runs out, because it is locked in a temporal stasis. No matter how much it burns, the flames always stay in the moment they are locked," he explained. Loki did not know how this was created, but it was possible that the time stone played a part in it.

Or another source that could manipulate time.

However, just because it was eternal did not mean it was infinite. There was a limit to the power that could be drawn from it at once. Alone, it would not be enough. Hundreds of them stacked together changed the game.

"It says something about Odin, doesn't it? That he defeated a demon who had a never-ending source of power."

"That it does." Loki nodded.

He still didn't feel comfortable enough to visit Helheim. But whatever secret his father kept, it would be revealed there.

The rest of his stay was on the subject of the Tenth Realm. There were components that required Uru to handle the seidr that would power the computer.

Eitri was willing to help.

On the condition that Loki helped the dwarves first. Harvesting that much Uru from the stellar remains was difficult. His sharp mind could come up with a solution. In return, he would have all the Uru components necessary for this project.

Uru was the result of stars going supernova. Yet, not every supernova produced Urur. The dwarves did not know the whys, nor did they care. As rare as Uru was, they were only interested in working it, not in how to create it.

The difficulty lay solely with locating Uru. In its raw form, it absorbed seidr, making all known detection methods useless.

Fortunately, Loki knew another material that did a similar thing.

He had located the ship plating that was part of a Dokkalfar ship through realizing there was a glaring hole. It was the same with the city.

An omnidirectional seidr pulse would cover vast distances and cartograph everything into a computer. Any seidr absorbed by raw Uru would be seen as dark spots. The equipment he had used to locate the hidden city on Svartalfheim was still in working condition.

Using the skiffs on Nidavellir, he seeded the devices across the asteroid fields. With one push of a button, the dwarves had located more Uru than they knew what to do with.

He had left the devices to them should they need more. It would take time to refine all the ore. But when Loki was ready, the forges of Nidavellir would be waiting for him.

Asgard

He had prepared an exact replica of Thor's armor, forged from the new brand of steel. His brother was delighted. So delighted, he had almost bruised a rib by hugging Loki like a bilgesnipe would bite its victim.

Thor had also asked for armor and weapons for Lady Sif and the Warriors Three. While more of Thor's friends than his, Loki had agreed. Even if they weren't true friends, he still saw them as acquaintances.

Which had made him realize he did not have many friends. There was Eitri, but he was more like a colleague that he collaborated with.

Perhaps he could try to be more social. If only there were people who took interest in seidr as much as he had.

Notes: There will be another timeskip in the next chapter. Also, if you are interested in the technological aspects of this chapter, I am sure you will enjoy reading my original story, Arrival. Your likes and reviews would be appreciated.

In the next chapter:
Turns out, Midgardians had seidr practitioners. They called themselves the Masters of the Mystic Arts. Based in Kamar-Taj, the sorcerers operated in secrecy. Naturally, it had his interest.

The city was well populated, and the streets were bustling. Tracking the sorcerers was easy. It was easy to detect the small breaches into different dimensions. Rather than an innate source of seidr, the sorcerers drew power from those dimensions.

But first, he had to deal with some irritants.

"Are you speaking to me?" he asked the ragtag of humans surrounding him. They kept speaking, but he did not care enough to listen. At least, until one of them got too close.

Would he recognize that he is in the Marvel Universe once he sees Iron Man? So I feel that him not knowing what Universe he's in, is kinda temporary, right? Because Iron Man is so iconic, even my grandmother, who didn't even have a TV or speak english, knew who he was before she passed.

By that point it would have been over 1000 years since he had even thought about Marvel. I could easily imagine that he would have completely forgotten about it by then, and not recognize any of it. It would literally be an unimportant story, from a different life that ended a millennia ago, I would be surprised if he does remember anything about Marvel at all.

Given how much progress Loki has made in only 300 years, I honestly wonder how far he will go. Like has already create a virtual world that can perfectly simulate reality (even incredibly powerful and complex magical items and phenomenon), and he is about to take that to the next level with what seems to be an artificial world. I could see this ending up like The Grid from Tron, except with the gate way actually under control and used. He is essentially becoming a Creator God, that created his own Divine Realm where he has infinite resources powered by infinite energy.

Hell I wonder how Thanos would react to this stuff, like even if the digital world doesn't grow beyond being just that, having discovered literal infinite energy is crazy. Thanos is supposed to be a genius scientist, and he is definitely going to be interested in that (assuming he still has the same goals as in the MCU).

Like can that temporal stasis effect be applied to other things, or bigger flames? Can it be applied to a star, because even our sun (which is actually a fairly small star) puts out enough energy that if converted into mass it would be 4.3 million tons of matter per second. Loki didn't just create infinite energy, he may have solved the Heat Death of the Universe.

If he shows the replicated Eternal Flame to Odin, Odin needs to just proclaim him the God of Magic on the spot.

Asgard

1500 A.D.

"This pod is supposed to put us inside this digital world of yours," Thor stated. He was currently inspecting the device, which, when it was operational, would change the way the people of Asgard lived.

"Yes," he nodded. "A larger, better version of Realms of Valor."

It would be more than just a game. The Tenth Realm would be a new planet for the Aesir. One that existed inside Asgard. They could live, learn, and do everything they desired within a compass of morality.

Thor's eyes shone. "When can we go in?"

"I need to see if live tests succeed first. I don't want to send you in and accidentally turn you into a woman," he muttered. Turning his brother into a female would be the last of his worries in the event something went wrong.

"Ha, ha."

"Is that why you need these rats?" His brother asked. There were six rats in individual cages that Loki had chosen to be his test subjects.

No one was going to cry after rodents.

"Better than anything else."

"Digitalizing the first specimen." He floated the rat inside, and the door automatically closed. There was a green flash. The pod scanned the rat first. It then turned the DNA to binary code and created a digital version of it.

All in the blink of an eye.

The rat appeared on the lush green plain. It looked around for any dangers. Seeing nothing, it began to smell the area.

The in-world scans showed no genetic anomalies. The rat was perfectly fine. Seeing no reason to wait, he sent the rest of the rodents inside. Each one appeared inside the digital realm without a single error.

"Does that mean we can go in now?" His brother was twirling Mjolnir in his hand. A clear sign that he was raring for a fight.

"Digitalizing rats and an Aesir are not the same thing," he explained. He could not just show the first Aesir that he came across inside the scanner.

"What is that?" Thor gestured to the petri dish in his hand.

"Flesh sample grown from my DNA. We can't just send one of our own forward without assurances." The flesh sample was permeated with his seidr. If anything went wrong, he would know without risking an Aesir.

The dish floated into the scanner. The process took longer compared to the rat. The scanner had to be able to digitize seidr in addition to flesh.

With the signature flash, the dish entered the simulated realm. He had already conducted preliminary tests, both in turning the samples to binary code and back. This was merely to test how prolonged exposure in the simulated realm affected the Aesir.

"What now?"

"I still have to test if anything goes wrong with bringing the rats to the real world," he said. He launched fireballs at the vermin one by one. Their virtual bodies broke into pixels. Each one came out wholly intact.

Putting them back into the cages, he conducted the necessary medical scans. Any change in DNA could potentially trigger cellular degeneration. Yet, the rats were fine.

"The rats are healthy. We shall have to wait and see what spending a long time inside the realm does."

"Let me know how that goes. In the meantime, I shall find something to amuse myself."

Midgard

"Your clothing is rather nice," the disheveled human grinned, revealing rotten teeth.

He snapped his fingers, sending seidr to over energize their atoms. The would-be muggers were splattered on the ground and the walls, leaving nothing behind except blood.

"Honestly, mortals," he shook his head. Turning back, he gazed at the figure watching him. Her attire was far different from the ordinary denizens of the settlement. Sand-colored layered robes with a black sash and pants. Her clothing was meant for ease of movement. Her stance showed that she was a warrior.

"That was impressive," the unknown woman said.

"Against them?" He gazed at the remains of the humans. "It was a waste of my talents."

She must have decided that Loki wasn't hostile and removed her hood. "What brings you here?"

"Imagine my surprise when I discovered your planet had sorcerers. Though, it is rather different from how my people do it."

"You don't draw power from other dimensions then," she summarized. There were different sources of sorcery, though, they all came with prices.

"No. We are born with it."

"Perhaps I can offer you some tea, and we can discuss whatever has your curiosity."

"Lead the way."

The sorcerer took him to the abode of her order. It was densely packed with other sorcerers and students. He could feel that this place existed for a long time, even before he was born.

She took him to the garden, offering him a seat. She created portals to somewhere and pulled out a teapot. She filled his cup first.

"They call me the Ancient One."

"Loki of Asgard," he said after taking a sip. The aroma was earthy, meant to calm the nerves.

The Ancient One, who was definitely younger than him, raised an eyebrow. "Loki? The trickster god himself?"

"It's the god of seidr, actually," he said. It was the title given to him by his father. "Most of what you Midgardians knew about me is through the seers who had consumed one too many magical mushrooms to expand their horizons."

He and Thor had visited the lands where the humans worshipped the Aesir in secret. Some of the people carried sparks of seidr. Through rituals and herbal mixes, they tried to divine the secrets of Asgard.

Hence the whole mess with the myths.

"So, Sleipnir, Fenris, Hel, and Jormungandr. None are real?" she asked. There was truth to the myths, in that Asgard most likely existed. She had just never had a reason to confirm it.

"Sleipnir is my father's steed, and he is far older than me. The rest don't exist as far as I know."

Odin had ridden that horse to battles centuries before he was born. The rest of his mythical children were nonexistent. He had yet to meet Angrboda and most likely didn't have a reason to.

"As far as you know?"

"My father keeps a lot of secrets," he said, taking another sip. Secrets that he did not dare to pry into yet.

"Then since you are Odin's son, may I assume you are not a Jotun?" She knew enough of the myths about Loki's origin as the God of Mischief. He could be lying, but she did not feel any deception.

Not that it would be easy to see if an entity worshipped as a god was deceiving her.

The garden felt chilly for a second. His skin turned blue, and his eyes were blood red for a short while. "I am a Jotun. I was adopted as a baby at the tail end of the war between Asgard and Jotunheim."

"A war? Over what?"

"The Jotnar invaded Midgard. Asgard, as the protector of the Nine Realms, intervened and drove them off."

The Ancient One refilled the cups. "Fascinating." There were no records of Frost Giants invading Earth. Either it had taken place long before the Sanctum existed, or the Asgardians had managed to keep it a secret.

"What do Masters of the Mystic Arts do around here? Simply learn?" Since he had revealed enough, it was his time to ask questions.

The Ancient One was forthcoming with the true purpose of her order. There were entities from other dimensions that would lay waste to Earth. The Masters of the Mystic Arts kept them at bay.

He had never heard of Dormammu, the Destroyer of Worlds. With how the Ancient One described the entity, Earth would be in grave danger should it manage to access this dimension.

"It appears I am not the only one dealing with world-destroying entities," he mused. An idea struck him: to bring a Celestial into a confrontation with Dormammu. Though, there were too many unknowns for him to conceive such a plan.

"Oh?"

"Ever heard of the Celestials?"

"I am afraid not."

It was his turn to explain another threat Midgard faced. He had already detected the nascent Celestial incubating inside the planet. But refrained from approaching it. There could be any number of security measures.

He didn't know if he could be strong enough to fight a Celestial.

"How long does this Celestial have before Earth is gone?" It was one thing to keep Dormammu from reaching Earth. She could not possibly stop a Celestial from destroying the planet inside out like a creature hatching from an egg.

"A millennia or two, give or take a century," he said. His prediction was based on scans he had taken from the Celestial. There seemed to be a limit to the life force it needed. Under the current circumstances of Midgard, it would take over a millennium for the entity to be conceived.

Yet with the industrial revolution, the population would skyrocket. It would certainly cut down on the time. For now, Earth's population was around half a billion. In slightly over five centuries, it would rise to over eight billion.

"That is not much."

"Midgard seems to attract an unusual number of threats."

"Do you plan to do something about this, Celestial?"

"Currently? Fighting a planet-sized entity is out of my league. Even my father could not possibly do it." For all the terrifying strength his aging father carried, the Celestials were out of his league.

"In the future?"

"We'll see."

Once the mutual exchange of information was over, the Ancient One took him on a small tour. He watched the students train, saw some of the artifacts, and even gave pointers.

The sling rings acted as bridges to the different dimensions. The Anulax Batteries worked in a similar fashion. If they could store some of the energy, it could give the sorcerers an edge.

After all, it was laughably easy to disarm their rings.

One thing that put a damper on his mood was their portals. Compared to the ones he had spent painstaking years creating, the sorcery here allowed the creation of portals with a frightening ease.

The only downside was that they did not possess a site to take them to other worlds.

Then, he saw something truly interesting.

"What does the amulet do?" he asked. He could feel the power in it, something ancient and infinite.

She turned to the metal amulet kept inside a glass display. "The Eye of Agamotto. It is an artifact only usable by the Sorcerer Supreme."

"An infinity stone," he said. With the Tesseract already on Midgard, it made two Infinity Stones on one planet. A rather dangerous prospect.

She nodded. "You know of them."

"My father defeated a warlord that sought all six stones," he revealed. It made him wonder if Thanos ever targeted Midgard.

Seeing as the reason his father hid the space stone on this planet was due to the obscurity of it, it was unlikely.

One stone was dangerous enough. To gather all six? It spelled catastrophe. "For what purpose?"

"To kill half the population of the universe at random as an act of balance." The titan's plan wasn't even well thought out. On most worlds, if half of the population were gone, it would just create periods where the people had more children. Half the population gone meant the available resources for the existing people had just doubled.

A couple centuries and the populations would recover after the trauma had passed.

"How did your order come to acquire the Time Stone?" Now that he knew it was in the Nine Realms, the possibility of a connection between the gem and the Eternal Flame had increased.

There still wasn't any definitive proof, though.

She raised her shoulders and dropped them. "That is a secret only Agamotto knew."

"I wonder if my father had something to do with it. I know that he hid two of the stones," he wondered. His father would be unlikely to entrust it to a mortal.

"It is possible that Agamotto discovered the stone and chose to protect it."

It was possible, as she said. Though, he could never know without using the stone.

For all he knew, it always was on Midgard.

Once they were back at the garden, it was time for him to return home.

"This has been a most enlightening experience for me," he said, holding out his hand. While he did not learn much in the way of sorcery, what he had seen was fascinating.

And eye-opening.

"I can say the same," she said, taking the offered hand.

"This is a communication device." He handed her a bracelet he had just modified to only have one purpose. "Should you need assistance to protect this realm against Dormammu, or any other threat, do not hesitate to contact me."

She took it without hesitation. "Generous of you."

Allies against Dormammu and other threats that plagued Earth were always welcome. Someone as strong as Loki would be of great assistance, should it be necessary.

"Midgard is under Asgard's protection. However, it would be counterintuitive to the growth of humans if my father had to bring down Asgard's armies down here," he explained.

The Midgardians had a plethora of religions. If the Aesir suddenly showed themselves, it would cause mass confusion across the planet. Hence, his father's reasons for keeping out of Midgard.

"Fair enough. Do visit whenever you want, Loki of Asgard. I am sure there is much we can learn from each other," the Ancient One said.

The history lesson alone shed light on many mysteries.

Loki gave a shallow bow. He opened the portal and was home in the blink of an eye.

Asgard

In the short time he was gone, Asgard had received quite the interesting visitor.

Angrboda of Vanaheim.

He considered that the name itself might be a mere coincidence. One look at her disabused him of that notion. Her enchantments were master class. If he didn't suspect her, he wouldn't even think to check.

A Jotun disguising herself as a Vanir.

The premise was rather similar.

Her reason for visiting? The witches that had raised his mother had sent her to Asgard so she could learn the intricacies of the Nine Realms from her.

"She is rather beautiful, don't you think?" Thor winked. It was rare for his brother to gaze at a female for so long.

"She is a Jotun in truth," he muttered back.

Thor's eyes widened, and he gripped Mjolnir's handle. "How is that possible?"

Had she come to steal the casket?

Loki narrowed his eyes. "I would like to know that as well." He had no intention of sleeping with her, ever.

So why had the witches sent Angrboda to Asgard?

In the next chapter:

"Lady Angrboda, excuse our tardiness. Please accept our belated greetings." Thor, as the more social of the brothers, was the first one to greet the guests. Loki followed along, and once his brother charmed the guest, he left quietly to work on his projects.

"No apologies are necessary, my prince. I am sure you two are busy."

"We appreciate your understanding."

"Were you working on one of your creations again, my prince? Your fame and the word of your wonderful creations are frequent topics of conversation."

Decide the Next Story New
Good morning, good evening and good night.

Commander Shepard : The Greatest to Ever Live is over as I have written the last chapter on my
Patreon / patreon.com/Samael61

As such, I want to write a new story.

The options are the same as last time.

Anakin Skywalker : The Sorcerer Supreme - Star Wars X MCU

Mortal Considerations : Hela X OMC Human - MCU

Izuku Midoriya : The Champion - BNHA x League of Legends

You can check the Pilot Chapters for each one on AO3 or in my Patreon page for free to help your decision.

During the last vote, Anakin Skywalker : The Sorcerer Supreme was number two after Loki : The God of Magic. I considered writing it, but since then, we have grown much as a community, so I wish to give everyone the chance to decide.

The poll will be up for three days.
