I think this is perhaps the first time in my life I've been disappointed at how fast a story I like updated.
I fully expect the arm to be faking weakness and will never be comfortable with it until it proves itself.

I'll be honest, I was fully ready to have to abandon this story because of the fucking arm, but the chapter has proven that's not necessary.

I'd say more like The One Ring, which always fits. Unless it doesn't want to.

If it's a battle inside the mind, shouldn't it go better when the mind is set right? Which, I believe calls for a round of "I-told-you-so"s. If Mio didn't aggravate Dummy (like, for example, finding a neat little hidden hole to sleep in), he wouldn't be chasing her. And if she was well-slept, coercing the Arm into submission would have been easier.

I'm afraid that, as she is now, Mio would need to deal with the Arm and Dummy before she gets a chance to have any peaceful shut-eye. Otherwise she risks getting posessed and/or eaten in her sleep. Demon Queen Mio has all chances to become the Queen of Insomnia.

Leaving the parasite that has proven itself willing and able to contaminate our minds to gather its strength and worm itself in is a frankly stupid idea.

You people voted to attach the thing to Mio, at least have the decency to make sure it does not eat her from the inside.

It tried and it failed, Mio is much stronger than it.

The update implies that the arm's attempts at controlling Mio won't be a major threat soon, so I'd rather ensure that she doesn't start taking care of necessities like preventing malnutrition.

 

From what I understand, we ripped the arm off the corpse, without realizing the arm we ripped off was the wrong arm. And then we blink back a headache and suddenly its the correct arm. And then we blink again and its also the correct size to attach to the stump coming out of our shoulder, despite the corpse still having both its elbows.

Can't make up my mind about finding proper food stuff or learning to ninja with our arm. I think we can put off browbeating the arm into submission for a little bit.

I do wonder how Konoha will react to learning that our closest match for a summons is basically demons and youkai.

We need sleep the most. Dummy is causing us to lose too much if he's chasing us for days at a time and mentally fighting off the arm has to take concentration which will be shot by lack of sleep.

Y'know, I bet you don't even normally get to control the arm.
It probably normally takes you over entirely and moves your body to match it's movements and desires.

The fact that we jabbed our chakra coils into it, and thus poured our will into it in competition with it's own, is probably the only reason MIO is able to move it under her own will, and feel with it.

 

Oh yes, a single act of conscious willpower will totally keep the pissed off body hacking parasite at bay. Its not like Mio needs to sleep at all. Nope, lets charge right on ahead.

On a more serious note, we need to think about how to kill the parasite. Maybe its will can be broken but we need a plan B. I am thinking that Kabuto's gift of canser can be put to good use here.

Just about every story I've ever read has had the mind's defenses at their weakest when asleep.
