...should I change Kannushi Training to Miko Training?

 

Might as well, Miko is better anyways (in shamanistic terms).

So looks like I was off by 5 points for what we needed to get Hao's notes from him. Also that prodigy skill is amazing, it lets us get up to 10 rank ups per die rather than 5.

Anyway for my votes I think Art and Furyoku I don't need to explain, I picked Asceticism since it will help us improve Yoh's body, and potentially his Furyoku as well. Also it seems like a fitting art for him to learn given that we are already discussing what powerful spirits to try to get later. I picked Onmyoudou since if the rewards this far have been this good how good will future rewards be? Besides that I'm kind of curious how Yoh's family will take his parallels to Hao when they notice them. Not like they know that Hao has been actually helping us after all.

For a question to use our divination abilities on what kind of skills will we get for higher ranks in Onmyoudou, and do we still get skills every 5 ranks?

Edit: Changed Onmyoudou to Bajiquan because of QMs response to my question. For just a few tricks we can put it off for a turn in favor of getting a bit of fighting skills.

 

Barely a success, but still a sucesss.

 

Yeah, asking partly since I'm thinking of switching Onmyoudou to the fighting style- as good as it is as a skillset having some fighting experience could be good too. Choose it first mainly because I sort of like how Yoh and Hao can likely bond over it.

Also just a note, but I have no problems with crossdressing Yoh. Could be kind of funny in fact.

 

Remember, we are meeting Anna next turn, and if its anything like canon, there will probably be a fight. Onmyoudou can always be done next turn

 

There's only a few tricks you'd actually learn.

 

Went ahead and changed my vote then. We can put off learning a few tricks for a turn or two for other things, checking how useful the training would be was one of the main reasons I asked.

Next thing we know, he is going to bond with Jeanne over what kinds of Iron Maiden they like. And suddenly we NTRed Ren future wife. And getting a harem with Hao approval.

 

Yoh would more likely go for Anna mainly cause she'd fulfill his kink.

Huh if we learn Miko training Maybe Tamamo could help us with it, or at least teach us how to wear the clothes.

Well, we don't actually have a masochist trait. Also, I just want the disguise skill that comes with it, and Miko training is better then Kannushi training for shamans, anyways. So, to recap, we gain access to a previously unavailable skill as well as a whole new one. As long as we don't crossdress and go out all the time, I really am not seeing the drawback.

Also, what exactly is the difference between a Kannushi and a Miko? From what I've read, it sounds like a Miko is just a female Kannushi. And why would we need to crossdress to learn the skills of a Miko, anyway?

Finally, what would we even do with a disguise skill? Especially since, to improve it, we would have to sacrifice time that could be spent training useful skills.

I am against cross-dressing because I don't think I would be able to take the quest seriously after that. It may be hilarious in the short term and give us a skill of questionable usefulness, but Yoh has yet to show signs of wanting to cross-dress all throughout the last 9 years.

 

Kannushi are responsible for maintaining the shrine and leading the worship of a god, that is about it. Also, kannushi can be female, it is just rare.

Miko are the ones actually responsible for the shaman stuff, and used to be shamans a long time ago. They were the ones who did divining and driving out evil spirits.

I guess a very crude western analog would that Mikos are the exorcists and that kannushi are the bishops.

Actually, we don't need to crossdress to do Miko training, the robes are traditional but not actually required for their abilities (the beads and stuff is a different story though). Admittly, it is a job only for women, but since our mom is one, we can learn all the skills without once crossdressing. Basically, I only wanted to crossdress for the skills, but we should be able to gain Miko training without it. burningclaw2 is this okay? I mean, Mom should teach us even If we don't crossdress.
