    I’ve seen people double post on this site for years, and I’ve done it myself too. So I was quite surprised when my double post was folded together.

    This isn’t a complaint or anything, I understand how it can tax server space, and can be bad etiquette. I generally only do it when it’s been a while and it’s a separate point, or I’m on my phone in a hurry.

    Should I stop double posting altogether? Are we going to see a change in the rules? Or am I making a mountain out of a molehill (aside from making a thread about a single edited double post)?

    There is no explicit rule against double posting, but mods will fold posts together when it seems reasonable to do so (mostly when someone reported it as annoying).

    It's generally a practice to avoid, but not in any dire way.
