    Because most people assume that the Quest Master will let people know if something is wrong with their votes without prompting, kinda like the GM telling the player he can't do that during session. I'm guessing that's why no one thought to ask.

    Wasn't the delinquents thing just an excuse we made up to keep him from going into the cemetery full of ghosts? Since you know, delinquents are a far more believable reason to not go into a cemetery than dead things? That's what I thought anyway.

    In the "delinquents in the cemetery" case he could make a show that Yoh is lying through his teeth because REASONS and possibly lose the opportunity to befriend Manta.

    Heading to the gate you call out to the midget and say, “You should be careful in this cemetery.”

    “Waaah!” yelled the midget in shock, falling off the gate and out of the cemetery at your sudden appearance. Quickly recovering he asks, “Why?” His heart telling you that he was preparing for you to try and tell him a bogus ‘ghost’ story.

    Instead you reply with, “Recently there has been a group of delinquents frequenting this place.”

    You don’t need Reishi to tell that he looks about to question why you were there then and thus you cut him off saying, “The reason I’m here is that I regularly come to give respects to the dead as a Shinto Priest.”

    The midget looks shocked before looking at his watch and exclaiming, “I’m late!”

    He proceeded to bound off around the cemetery instead of through.

    He watch him leave for a moment before heading back into the graveyard to continue speaking with the residents.

    Time passes, you see the midget a few times at school but you ignore him.

    Instead you simply pay attention to your studies.

    However eventually you find an actual group of delinquents within the graveyard.

    The bald and chubby one seems to have some sense, as he warns the leader, a young man with a stupid looking hairdo and a boken, about the spirit tied to the grave he had knocked down.

    You narrow your eyes when the leader smashed the grave marker he knocked down.

    Not really sure what to do here, since the only thing they are really guilty of is a bit of vandalism. So going with the popular vote since it at least tries to get them to apologize first.

    Actually that interpretation was based on this post:

    Given that he is the one who came up with the vote I kind of was trusting his interpretation of said vote.
