Yoh Asakura Quest (Shaman King)

[X] Use Spirit Unity with Mosuke before taking him and the sword to a nearby smithy.

Seems like less of a hassle to just help him instead of dragging him there. Besides, this way we get to put our 45 smithing skill to use, how often can we expect to actually use that for anything other than imagination?

Who knows what you might pick up from this.

With a sigh, you figure you might as well help the spirit fix up the blade so he can keep his word, it will make it easier to drag him to Amidamaru after all.

Taking Mosuke and the sword, whose name you learned was Harusame, to a nearby Smithy you perform Spirit Unity with the deceased Blacksmith in order to begin to repair the sword.

[Smithing now at 50]

It had taken most of the night but you and Mosuke managed to repair the heavily damaged Harusame.

You then take both the blade and Mosuke with you to Amidamaru. The two spirits promptly decked one another in the face and began yelling at one another as soon as they saw each other.

You didn't need Reishi to understand that both of them missed the other, it was mainly said by the fresh tears in their eyes.

After they were done shouting at one another they had begun to pass on, as they did so however they thanks you for your help in letting them keep their promise.

You then returned the sword to the Museum curator and told him the true story of Amidamaru, and that the spirit haunting Harusame had passed on.

You then go on to continue to live your life.

Going to school, returning home, spending time with Anna, and sleeping. This is the routine you perform day to day.

Eventually-

Kick his butt.
Only way to make him realize and improve

Time to see how things go with Ren! :D

I think considering Yoh skills, Furyoku and everything, we're going to do much more than just kicking his butt.

Crushing his pride, grind it into dust and throw it into the sewer is much more likely.

Unless he got a massive upgrade, of course.
If people's strengths at this point are roughly the same, we could probably kick Ren's dad's ass pretty easily at this point

Honestly I hope the power levels stay the same as I always hated it when GMs always scaled things that should have been weak individuals into worthy opponents. It always makes the sense of achievement and growth invalidated.

And at Yoh's level the power he has only makes him have an actual chance at becoming Shaman King instead of forfeiting to Hao.

I have to agree that scaling the enemies power to the characters is stupid- it takes away all incentive to get stronger, since any time you do the enemies get stronger as well. In some games this actually makes it so leveling gets you a net negative, since you have to use higher tier items that are more expensive. And yes, that is speaking from personal experience with a couple of games that used a system that scales enemies to the player.

For the vote I want to see Ren so we have some idea if burningclaw is going to bump up everyone's power and make all the training actions we did basically a giant waste of time before the Shaman King tournament starts.

I have a feeling we're going to completely outclass him and thus end up pushing him onto a road to massive self-improvement... Or leave him in a depression.
