My favourite thing in fiction is people having their long staid assumptions about the nature of the world challenged, and it's great to see it here.

I like no-nonsense take-charge Paul (with Alan providing comedy relieve).

But the JSI seems to be completely absent?

I'm guessing 'hit a lot'. Though 'bit' sort of works, I don't think that's how he speaks usually.

I'm enjoying a lot about this arc, not least seeing more of Alan and Paul's dynamic.

 

Ah, poking the hornet's nest while you wait for the slowpokes to arrive? Feeling out their capabilities? Sensible, if a bit risky. On the up side, you've probably got the Dominator leadership feeling good and paranoid. And paranoid people make mistakes.

Ah, those little breather moments before combat begins and the excrement starts its flight fan-wards. I have the feeling by the time this day is over, some Dominator leader-caste are going to be having very bad days. And Jordan is going to have an eye-opening look at some advanced Lantern skills that will no doubt give him ideas. I can't wait.

 

This is the scouting mission before they bring in the rest of the forces. Actually its the pre scout diversion still.

 

I think it was mentioned that he resembled Alan as he is now.

It probably also helps that blue and green are very compatible in the Spectrum.

 

Well, while he's gallivanting through space in an alternate dimension, is he going to be stopping by Maltus to see if there is an alternate dimension Hinon that need to get woken up before returning home?

I hope they wont just straight up kill him or do brain surgery to make him forget two of the top five most classified secrets in the GLCs closet of skeletons.

(What other secrets would qualify apart from Larfleeze and the Vega treaty? Top one is Krona and what he did. Also Manhunters and sector 666 and the prophecy about Blackest Night)

Some thoughts.

Do the people in this reality have any idea what other lantern colors mean? With only the green corps being active, do they know that orange means avarice?

Ahem, with that out of the way...

It's worth remembering Zoat hinted that OL might get an upsetting reminder that he really should investigate before assuming supposed known-unknowns without investigation, in that Zoat mentioned the Dominator's situation is somehow different in this parallel in a way that will make OL do a brief 180.

 

Assuming these things occurred in this universe.

Probably not.

Maybe that distraction spell is still working.

That whole line about Super Lanterns has my mind playing that scene with Vegeta smack talking Freiza.

 

I do like the moments when a character gets a huge reminder that yes, this is another universe.

And TIL about Blue Cards.

Huh, I get the feeling Hal's exile has very much made him different from the Hal we know, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

 

In canon, the understanding of the emotional spectrum was so limited that not even the Controllers knew that orange meant avarice, until they waltzed into Larfleeze's lair and he ganked them all.

 

I thought it was that they didn't know which light they were getting, not that they didn't know orange = avarice.
