    I did a thing.

Now excuse me as I go and try to ignore my terrible decisions. Still have another one I want to make.

I don't actually know anything about the source material.

You don't really need to know anything about the source to read a quest. What, do both of you just never touch Original Quests, ever?

Like, the ten seconds of google it takes to find the series' summary on Wikipedia will tell you everything you need to know. I pretty much copied it in the opening anyway, with references to the protagonist removed, since he's boring and probably won't be appearing.

Also, if you have questions, just ask.

Anyway, I don't expect you guys to read it anyway. If you're not interested, you're not interested.

    Not a terribly good comparison.

Fanfiction quests almost universally do less to establish theor settings than original quests, which have no choice but to.

Only if it's by an author I like, and if the first couple updates don't grab me, not even then.
    Sorry.
I wish you luck! May the inspiration flow freely.

Hey guys, so on the topic of Original quests, have you guys seen Cetashwayo's analysis of Original quests? I think it's pretty interesting, though I find it pretty weird how often he snipes at Rihaku. What do you guys think?

Honestly I'm not that interested in original quests. I have video games for that sort of niche.

The thing with Rihaku is that he implemented this "content for shiny" thing. Participants gave omakes/likes/art/discussion/whatever in order to make the Quest character overpowered by the huge amount of exp this would get between updates.

And with "between updates" I mean one after pages and pages of fanmade stuff. Honestly speaking, a quest ran by Rihaku isn't a good example of good narration since... Well, it looks more like a way to farm likes than anything else. Probably not a good publicly for Rihaku, but far from the truth it isn't.

    ...

Appart of this, I'll keep giving it a read since I'm one of those who wants to run a quest in an original setting. Also, some of my friends wants to participate in that survey thingy at the end, being QM themselves.

The reaction of the guy who found out that he had been biting a guy's arse was hilarious.

    You see stuff like this?
Being mad at theft is natural, everyone gets mad when their money is stolen. But the language you use here? Really not great for garnering sympathy and understanding. Rather, it makes people cast sideway glances at you while slowly moving away.

To be fair, if someone broke in to my home to steal my shit while I was around they could expect a shotgun shell to the face or a knife through the ribs for their trouble

Then again, I don't even try to portray myself in a good light so there is that to consider as well

Personally, I will do all sorts of physical brutality, before ending my beatdown with some groin stomps. Repeatedly. That'd teach them to break into my house :)

Theft is bad but if he's already doing something illegal, there's a fair chance that he's willing to escalate more than you. Even if he doesn't, shit happens man. He could have a knife or a gun. Are you really willing to kill a guy? Are you willing to risk getting killed?

Like, you'd be better off calling to police. Take a picture of their license plates or something. Don't risk your life for the sake of replaceable stuff.

Of course, I don't know you. I don't know your circumstances. Maybe you need that stuff. Maybe you're confident that you'll be okay. All I'm saying is that it might not be worth it.

You know, there really is one thing that pisses me off that is becoming increasingly more common and that is people being punished when they kill a thief or home invader.

Some say it's more forward-thinking to punish people for killing thieves, but I clearly am of the opposite mind. I hold the personal opinion that a home invader's life is forfeit. If you're a goddamn robber I can kill you how I damn want, it should be a right.

Of course, it is understandable to disagree with this.

See, when you advocate things like slavery, it makes people look at you funny. Just an observation.

No one is making you advocate for enslaving criminals. No one is forcing you to declare these views as your own personal opinions.
That's all you. You are typing this.
    And you need to stop.
