Give him a break. He's consistently done some bad stuff but we all say some stupid shit when we get emotional.


Also, on the topic of thievery and such, not all thieves are bad guys. Sometimes, people get into bad situations and don't know how to get out.

 

TBH, I really don't believe that he's just typing this stuff because he's emotional, because these kinds of views he's expressing are rather consistent, and kind of disturbing.
That, and he's worn through my patience entirely, a sentiment echoed over in the SV rants thread.

 

Eh. I'll admit, it does try my patience to see his cries for attention and his persecution complex but I feel like I should do my best to help him out. He's already admitted he's ill, so I have a fair amount of sympathy for him. I guess I just have a higher tolerance for this sort of thing.

 

The advice you're offering is stuff we already tried to tell him in the rants thread. Go ahead and try to help him, he'll just say "sorry" and keep doing it.

On that note, considering the sheer quantity of innuendo in the games, I'm honestly surprised that lewd content is nearly nonexistent for the franchise.

Granted, it's not exactly a well known franchise, and when you dig deep into the franchise all that stuff gets overshadowed by the sci-fi worldbuilding, but it's still surprising.

 

It is sorta weird, especially considering the third game.

It was hilarious when I watched a LP of Ar tonelico 3. It was always innuendo, but Finnel literally compares Diving to sex with her 'virginity' comments.

Also, it's amusing that the solution to the plot of the third game can more-or-less be summed up as "give the planet a heart transplant via railgun".

 

AT2 also implied pretty strongly that enough Dive Therapy is lewd that Dive Therapists as a whole sometimes get thought of with a stigma similar to that of prostitutes.

As someone who literally joined this site yesterday I'm going to make the following statement.

After reading through something like 10-12 fics and quests... I learned more about myself than I had any right to.

I would feel ashamed except shame was the first thing that I dragged out into the street and shot when I joined this site. Sanity was the first thing I dragged out back behind the shed and shot when I joined SV.
