In that one you become a Carapace Cross rather then a Long, others have done it before us. Strathcoyne is implied to have awakened his lineage. Sulochana most likely also ascended like we did.

We were too balanced between Heart and Moth and so belonged to neither. Thus we went somewhere where someone who belongs nowhere goes, to shelter in the House of the Moon where others like us are. That we will serve the mirror self of the Wheel when it returns as it's Aspect was probably the proto Moth/Heart and had servant Carapace Cross is personal headcanon.

particularly if we go with the comics. To start with, There's Discord's crazier and eviler and FAR stronger ex-girlfriend.

Then there's other timeline's versions of Daybreaker, Nightmare Moon, The Pony of Shadows, Sombra and so on.

There's the Umbrums, basically evil shadow-ponies (Sombra is one in the comics) which Might actually work in this quest as sapient-worms, honestly.

and then... well, I vaguely remember there's a crossover comic with the transformers, actually...

I am kind of sad that most plans don't really advance our goal to reach glory directly (be it by locating an outider or how to harvest their blood) but I will content myself with the thought that we will likely call an Edge influence and the mental image of Velvet trying to earn the Bureau influence with family day and then attending with an Edge 4 mantle.
 
We got really unlucky in that the first turn a search for the Outsider is possible is also the first turn basically everybody wanted Baldomare to scry for Frangiclave.

But yes, Edge high Velvet socialing is a very funny image. At least the Bureau is probably full of Edge people anyways.

So, apparently we're taking a minor risk with the scrying ritual for the lvl 6 book, but going heavy on the Biedde summon.

We're also talking with Comet, and if we end up going for the Edge influence... well, that will be a fun talk.

we're also studying the books (as expected), AND exploring the Ruined Church.

Between Ruined Church and Canterlot Part 2 we're likely to get some interesting loot this turn, in terms of reagents, artifacts, maybe a new summon...

Next turn we'll have to see what's our bit situation.


Hopefully we can afford Frangiclave expedition already. If we can't, MAYBE we'll be lucky and we'll be able to afford a second Commission for Rarity? as long as her turn 18 career roll was a success we COULD afford it.

I'd love to be able to summon a Mare or Two too next turn, but Frangiclave comes first, same for lvl 6 book
 
Mm, speaking of Edge Influence, I'm also curious to see how the family would react to it. They're mostly Lore aware, so sensing a max Edge Influence around Velvet has gotta be a little wild. Especially after the last couple of Influences she's worn.

I was considering creating a joke plan where we do all the training actions, to make the serious plans that do training actions seem less aggressive :V. I may do this when we plan the next turn.

Very interesting; thanks for the breakdown! I thought the subsequent Knock roll was required for the sacrament action to succeed for some reason. But I see now that it's just to get a lore scrap.

That reminds me of the calculator from the old thread. As you said, we have +14 (Learning) and +40 (Knock Level 4) bonuses, and given that the influence bonus is +40, we have:

Wasting an action is a known consequence (unless we get a bonus on subsequent attempts; that would be pretty nice). Optimistically, the dangerous Velvets are the only other risk, but pessimistically, Velvet could get lost in space and time or something and lose another action this turn, or take damage, or get stuck in a different history — it would be absolutely wild (in a good way, in the sense that this really is a no guardrails horror quest) if Bird had us start playing the game after having swapped places with a different Velvet, with us desperately trying to get back to "our" history.

True, and it makes it not ideal.

But if the 100+ bits Rarity can give us are the difference between being able to afford Frangiclave expedition or not, or even to just be able to add two Mares summons...

well, it might be worth it. We'll see how many bits we have next turn. It's not out of the question we might get bits, or easy-to-sell loot, from the Canterlot expedition.

Even in the CS game you sometimes found stuff that was only good to be sold. And I think we could sell that stuff through Uncle Steppes.

eh, it's an acceptable level of risk, and we CAN probably make up for it with other (more expensive) measures.

I wouldn't care much about losing the lvl 6 book if we somehow could get a lvl 5 from one of our other ventures, for example. We'll see how it goes.

minor risk, but if we fail it's pretty inconvenient. If we still find a lvl 5 book in canterlot or church expedition I wouldn't mind much, but if we don't...
 
well, vote is done, Biedde + Comet + Studying books + more reagents + red church (and so on) won.

this turn should hopefully give us plenty good results. Celestia/Daybreaker is hopefully stable enough that we don't need to worry too much about her... or, at least, that Luna should have enough time to finish her training and grow in the fullness of her power before she has to decide on a course of action.


with training complete she'd be at +50 in combat, with a reroll every 6 dice, and 7 health

Celestia should be... 10 health, +80 in combat.

That said, give Selene an Edge influence, and she could reach +90. That's enough that, with the rerolls and some AotL bonuses she might actually even win, if it came down to it.

Though of course ideally we'd avoid that kind of direct confrontation.
 
hmm. What's neat about the books is that if we can find the Forge Name at some point, we would be only one manuscript away from making our Library finally have a Level 3. Which doesn't mean much right now, but would be useful if and when we ever want to share it, or get a Forge Confidante.

Soft Sweeps was treated as "lowering the max from 7 to 6" instead of raising the current value.

That's because, simply put, she only becomes a "real" wolf daughter once we reach 6/6.

She's going to be the last of the wolf children, AND the only wolf-daughter... if we get that far.

Otherwise, the wolf is sort of "sleeping" in her, and she's not currently "evil".

The dreams imply that, in her sleep, the wolf brothers are tormenting her. I imagine once all 6 of them exist they'll be too much for her to resist.

I mean he is a businessman isn't he? So maybe Edge? Forge could fit him too if we go by the rule that Forge adepts need to be rich if they want to make anything that is worth the time of a Forge Hour.

I thought 7th ​regretful action is giving Soft Sweeps a new name. Because in the company of Evil, Ash, Paranoia and the rest Soft Sweeps would sound... weird.
