Questionable Questing

Lot of it is random ideas, stuff I want to get out of my head to focus on other stories, some of it takes a life of its own. I'll freely admit some ideas can become a tad bizarre at times, and some are so full of crossover elements it becomes too chaotic to really hold together. I think you mean the Dusty Wrench, so I got to ask what stood out as particularly weird there? Been a bit since I worked on that.

Really it was the OC/SIs thoughts and opinions on his brother and father, especially the former. Like he seemed way too dismissive/accommodating to him, not angry at all despite well… the fact he inebriated the MCs at the time underage girlfriend and basically raped her.

I'm sorry but if my own brother ever did that to me despite having a good relationship unlike the Mc had with his own, I'd have likely severely maimed him if not killed him. Just felt so weird to see his thought process at one point literally be "Yeah he could go out on that militia trip or whatever and die but I don't really want him dead".

Reading your Shopkeep Lootbox story so far and it's great. Like the Wendy employee. Redhead Hottie with all the freckles. Would be funny if it became running harem gag where the more employees he gets they're all badass tomboys of their series(Marceline as another example).

On the subject of Dusty Wrench and that scene, yeah, it was something that would have been expanded upon a bit if it went longer, basically, he tried to report it and get his brother in trouble, but his father got a lot more influence and suppressed the whole thing. He dislikes his father and brother alike, but also feels powerless against them, so dismissive is probably the thing they get least out of him with.

The idea was that once he began to make connections of his own, Ozpin, the Atlas agents, and so on, his importance would outweigh his father and the things that got swept under the rug before would find themselves in daylight. He doesn't hate his brother to the point of wanting him dead, but at the same time, he isn't going to mourn the brother if he does die, if that makes any sense?

Again I just can't connect or understand the point of view. Because again, if my own girlfriend got intentionally inebriated/roofied and raped by my own brother, I'd fucking probably kill him with my own hands.

And I have close and good relationship with mine unlike the MC did with his. He fucking warned his girlfriend ahead of time their relationship was that bad as siblings!

Also the mother should get more flack for abandoning him like she did.

Darkatlas first chapter of "Dusty Wrench" it is mentioned briefly. Part of the background in the piece, and not expanded upon too much. Mostly it went to show just how big of an asshole the brother was in the story.

I get the dislike on that particular aspect, the snippet story didn't expand enough to make it show, but the protagonist basically knew if he went to the cops & tried to get his brother in trouble, the case would be buried and his brother would get a smack on the wrist, at most. Remnant isn't a nice place.

The idea was that the protagonist would gather enough strength that when he brought it up again, there would be no influence or bribe big enough to make it go away, and his father would lose any support he had, and the brother would get a position in penal legion, which would be a death sentence in that world. Protagonist doesn't outright hate his brother, but doesn't feel particularly merciful either.

Hmm, don't have too many notes on that, but I did put down one, of a possible scene for it, the brothers fighting one another in drunken state earlier, with his brother getting bailed out by dad, and the protagonist sitting in jail for a week before release, to show that him taking action alone is a fool's errand, unless he's going for the jugular.
