Could you be a little more specific, I've done quite a bit with Grimm and my approach changed in each as I tried to refine the rules

Ah, that sounds like my old Grimm Halloween story.

Kind of twofold. In RWBY canon Grimm are born fully formed from pools of darkness and are drawn toward negative emotions and strong Aura.

Back then I wanted a definitive end to Huntresses so I had it that Grimm fed off the mother's Aura so each birth permanently reduced it and while excess cum doesn't automatically cause them to develop faster it did increase the liklihood, hence the pregnancy progress rolls (I included these so there was a chance the pregnancy could be stopped before their Aura was drained).
