    Alliance with US after the war, I think, so they aren't as vilified in western fronts, while German is split between US and Russia.

    On the other hand, they, as well as the US, are often vilified in the various eastern fronts.

    Because although they were a horrible civilization,they got their shit shoved in HARD when the United States pulled up, and won most of their previous campaigns due to complex situations outsude their control (China was just in chaos, and Pearl Harbor was a sneak attack—after that, again, shit shoved hard).

    So, making the Nazis a big supervillain country is more belieavable, because if you alt-history to make them keep their metaphorical winning streak, you can see it. Japan? It thought it was hot shit, and then it got a sledgehammer to the face, and there really isn't much room for an alternatuve besides "it survives". Hard to twist them into a winner without being just dumb.
