Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
If you wish to change your username, please ask via conversation to tehelgee instead of asking via my profile. I'd like to not clutter it up with such requests.
The concept of a Hero as "Not someone who merely struggles against the odds, but someone who lives with an absolute burden or flaw, which no action or commitment may soften." - EG, they continue to struggle and survive despite the fact that the problems they face cut directly and cannot be mitigate by any ability or preparation.
With the examples given being "A man of incredible strength and skill at war to do what he wishes with, but who will never succeed at saving any life he earnestly wishes to."
and "A race of bovinelike humanoids, or perhaps humanlike bovoids, who express a rich, sweet milk. Nothing gives them pleasure other than ensuring that the other races will consume this, and their entire lives and the propagation of their line are dedicated to this goal alone."
It goes on to note that while he was originally a satirist mocking a noted fantasy author for treating strengths as situational and possible to screw up, but flaws as always cutting with full force, as his mental state deteriorated he began writing such heroes into his own books.
Tl:Dr - My sleepy brain came up with a satirical writer who mocked the idea that the balance to a person's abilities should be complete unmitigatable cruel fates, and that that was what made a hero...so hard that he came to believe it himself.
