For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.

Where'd you hear that? I mean, if you're lucky, it'll be in the first boss chest you open after reaching level 12 and being able to do the quest, but you can find it in any of them. Going to her statue first gives you a quest marker for it, but still, such a pain. I mean, what if I don't want to fucking join the Dark Brotherhood this playthrough, y'know?
I've always found it immediately after I hit the right level.
I tended to avoid the thing, actually, and leave it where it was. Mostly because I didn't need Dawnbreaker and didn't want to slog through the temple, but also didn't want to have the quest sitting in my log.
