Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
If you wish to change your username, please ask via conversation to tehelgee instead of asking via my profile. I'd like to not clutter it up with such requests.
And for those who say that QQ isn't a "safe space", newsflash: it's a fucking safe space. It's a safe space for transphobes and for people who don't like "politics", where "politics" is apparently so loosely defined that certain mods can decide that anything they don't like counts as such so they can threaten users into silence.
It's kind of amazing how the simple act of me mentioning that I dislike a certain word being used because it's hurtful and makes me uncomfortable is met with people shouting at me about how I'm wrong about everything, from the meaning of the word in question, to its history, to my feelings on the matter. You know, those feelings that *I* have, not any of them?
And then I get told I'm an awful, awful person for saying and feeling those things.
And, of course, there's that one mod who gets involved in shouting me down, and when it becomes clear that they don't have a leg to stand on they decide that what I've been saying counts as "gender politics" or some such rot so that they can threaten me with infractions or banning if I don't shut up.
They don't even make the effort of obtaining the fig leaf of getting a mod who was entirely uninvolved in the discussion to make the threats, they do it themself.
And then, when that mod's behavior is brought up with that mod's superior, said superior just says, "Yeah, they were perfectly fine to act the way they did. Now shut up and piss off."
