Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
If you wish to change your username, please ask via conversation to tehelgee instead of asking via my profile. I'd like to not clutter it up with such requests.
Yeah, maybe. But the big limitation for me is, automatically syncing an actual file to my phone is nontrivial, which is my biggest use case and comes up multiple times a chapter. By comparison, my current setup only really fails if my entire laptop bricks itself, which is a once-a-year event at most.
(also manual bbcode makes it harder to proofread, it gets in the way and is also not what the reader sees; yeah I can copy it into QQ preview to see but that doesn't really help me revise in the moment.)
So like, ultimately I have in fact thought this through, and "cloud backup Firefox extension" still makes a lot more sense to me than a traditional word processor. Until, at any rate, someone writes a standalone BB code word processor, at which point maybe it'll be worthwhile trying to get it to play nice with my phone...
Not even related to the thing I was thinking of, but I've seen rumors floating around of an "export to bbcode" extension for google docs. If google docs are acceptable, that would be worth looking into and (if rumors bear fruit) might do the trick.
