Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
If you wish to change your username, please ask via conversation to tehelgee instead of asking via my profile. I'd like to not clutter it up with such requests.
make for them to arm the power armor, give it the ability to sustain flight, and give the mech a limited combat AI that has some ability to continue fighting without the pilot inside, and even heed general commands from them/share sensory data with them?
At that point, does the additional (fairly small, relative to the other expensive hardware involved) investment in a combat ready flying piloting suit and an AI piloting mode for the mech justify itself?
Doesn't that make the mech overall *more* fragile and easier to kill?
Also, technically speaking, minus the pilot-with-your-mind & true AI... the TSFs from Muv Luv Alternative technically would count...
Cockpit block integration for conversion for PA usage being technically a thing, but at the same time, that first requires *not dying* so it kinda veers into useful useless detail.
Certainly makes some sense IMO. An environmental suit that's capable of supporting the pilot if they need to eject in an emergency.
Could even have the suit function as something like a hypersensitive mocap suit, with the mech mirroring the pilots movements. Though I'd still have them bolted in while piloting.
No, Reinzero, Machina Domini Interface actually massively improves the mech's survivability, as well as pilot survivability. The only thing in that post that isn't canonically possible is adding the backup AI piloting system.
