"Mew" They hear from the darker side of the room they largely ignore under threat of machinations beyond their desire to question or contend with. "Was that a-woah!"

Their eyes widen, pinned to the artificially hardened floor by a sudden mass they're sure wasn't there this morning, a stroke of panic flows through them.

That panic freezes their limbs cold, fries their brain, leaves them questioning their options. Yet when they dare to look up, just a little, they're caught by a realization they hadn't yet considered.
