• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • Emergency notice: We are currently being invaded by zombies. See this thread for details.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

Questionable Questing

I don't know why the takedown either (they may have given Amy advance warning, but if so she didn't read it in time and it would have been on her admin account which has now been wiped; they didn't answer Amy's enquiries after the fact), but there are quite a few things that were in violation of the ToS (I didn't actually read the ToS until after the takedown happened; I just pretty much copied Amy's modding).

There were a bunch of things that we did that were clearly in violation of the ToS (porn, kids posting dating ads, and not being PC enough), and in theory we could stop doing those...

...but there's also the catchall "has a detrimental effect to the goodwill and good standing of ProBoards" and, well, hardcore yandere fans and RL yandere are both pretty unpopular so I don't see how we could stop doing that without ceasing to be Y^2 in any meaningful way.

The simple fact of the matter is that we survived as long as we did almost entirely by virtue of being a ghost town; yandere.org got a hit job, and r/yandere got a gun to its head to kill anything about RL yandere, because stalkers are hated and big platforms don't have the spine to refuse a cancel mob.
