Once I start a story and it gets past the first 3-4 chapters with any remote consistancy, the story becomes quite a strong contender for my attention, receiving around 50-100k words over the span of a week or so, and then it slowly dies out as my attention wanes and the updates stop for a year, maybe two. That's usually how it goes, unless my story becomes insanely popular for some reason,
