Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
Real talk, does the singularity beam ever work ? You'd think that firing a small black hole at people would be at least somewhat effective, except that I struggle to remember a single time when it wasn't countered or outright ignored.
Hope we'll get to see Myrthos' reaction to this. Sure, they probably would've preferred a more violent and/or grandstanding way to get rid of Mama Mola, but I can see them appreciating the sheer humiliation that's been inflicted on her, like she wasn't even worthy of her son's time. And now she...
That was glorious, especially since Jir has absolutely no recourse. Who will side with her when she got herself dismissed because she was in the process of trying to give orders to a Moff in his own office ? Plus a MI operative and two Navy personnels who were very much outside of her chain of...
I know that Orange Lantern isn't a native French speaker, but it should be "nom héroïque", "nom de héros" or "nom d'héroïsme". Any of these three possibilities would work, although the first two sound better.
Just sell the coins to the researchers. Also, maybe there's a reward for discoveries like these. But yeah, I understand if you don't want to bother with another subplot.
The lioness-headed one might be Sekhmet (not exactly the nicest of deities, and there are other ones who could fit the description...) instead of Bastet, but ancient Egypt had this thing where some gods could turn into others depending on circumstances, with Sekhmet and Bastet being two...
I guess Paulmon could disguise construct Am-heh by overlaying a hologram of a normal goa'uld on top of it, but since that wasn't mentioned in the text...
Ah, called it. Does Paulmon know about the way the Asgard transfer their own consciousness to cloned bodies ? If so, it would be a pretty good argument to use on the SGC. Though he'll have to "get his body back" first...
Ouch, yes. Not going to spend too much time on this because I don't want...
Well yes, it's tricky, but it's weird to see Paulmon being so inconsistent about it. He's had a long time to pick an option and stick to it, probably by listening to how most people talk about/to Bastet and assuming the most common form of address is their preferred gender.
Paulmon's arguments may not be the best, but in his defense, it can be hard to argue in favour of something you don't believe yourself, especially on such short notice. Sure, he doesn't think of himself as a god, but given his position, it's not like he could've publically agreed with Ms. Duxley...
Ah, yes, one of the more awkward parts of the Stargate program : the US military monopolizing it in order to get a leg up on the other countries, even though it should by all rights be a joint effort involving the entire UN. Aren't there a bunch of treaties stating that the universe beyond Earth...
Well yes, it's one of the central conceits of the superhero genre : the government has to be impotent and/or corrupt, otherwise there would be no need for billionnaires, tech geniuses and assorted superpowered übermenschen to put on some spandex and go around punching idiots, assholes and...
