• A notice about Rule 3 regarding sites hosting pirated/unauthorized content has been made. Please see here for details.
  • Staff is working to deal with the problem of synonymous tags. See here for more information and to suggest tag mergers.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

    A labeling system.

We already have a comprehensive solution! It's tags! And since moderators aren't going to enforce proper tagging, they're also not going to enforce a half-baked version of it. If you don't like people not using tags, then just... don't read fics that aren't properly tagged. To use your own...

    A labeling system.

If all fetishes have the same tag... then you don't have a tier system, you just have a binary "Does this fic contain objectionable* content? Yes/no" check. Once you have tiers, people will have to decide how objectionable their fics actually are. Is mind control more objectionable than rape...

    A labeling system.

As Kraken said, that would require tag enforcement because people who aren't properly tagging their stories now aren't going to start using that specific set of tags. Also, trying to create tiers of fetishes just sounds like it would lead to countless arguments because obviously the stuff I am...

song links with explicit lyrics can be posted in sfw or no?

I mean, taken literally, even the SFW sections of QQ probably count as NSFW.

song links with explicit lyrics can be posted in sfw or no?

Uncensored as in not allowed in radio? Because I'm pretty sure saying "fuck" isn't considered NSFW in this forum.

It's dead in terms of popularity. Sure, there are occasional new launches... but they always seem to flop.

    (Partially) fixing the tag system

...you know, I'm not sure I've actually seen any fics tagged "game elements." Searching for the tag, it appears to be a split? Some of them look like litrpgs, while others look like fics I would tag "gamer elements." Also, =game+elements&withoutSynonym=1&nodes[0]=-1']searching for game elements...

    (Partially) fixing the tag system

My latest fic (Toy#14, link in the sig if you're curious) is tagged as having gamer elements, but I definitely wouldn't consider it to be a litrpg. It is admittedly something of an edge case. More generally, I believe "gamer elements" tag generally encompasses a lot of fics where only the main...

    Suggestion: Images Sub-Forum

That's kind of the worst of both worlds, since the NSFW general is full of image threads anyway, making it hard to find the actual discussions you might be interested in.

People are using AI but not disclosing it. How do you detect it ?

If your goal is to make people hate AI more, I'd say you're doing excellent job.

    Game Give-aways

Newgrounds (and Kongregate) has working emulation via ruffle. If it's not working automatically, you can force it via adding ?emulate=flash to the end of the URL like so. It's not 100%, but I think most games work with it these days.

People are using AI but not disclosing it. How do you detect it ?

As the saying goes, perfect is the enemy of good. We're not talking about changing laws, we're talking about setting the policy of this forum.

People are using AI but not disclosing it. How do you detect it ?

I suppose you extend that to false advertising in general, then? Or claiming that a food product does not contain nuts when it does, in fact, contain nuts? Or is AI just a special case because... reasons?

You really love making false equivalences, don't you?

What’s the difference between Spacebattles and Sufficient Velocity?

The TL;DR is that some bad decisions by SB staff lead to some people deciding to make their own Spacebattles with blackjack and hookers, and thus Sufficient Velocity was born. As for how well that worked out, you can look at their respective threads in the rants section.

Fanfiction (and Fanfiction-Adjacent) Acronyms and Terms Guide

I think it's The New Order or something like that, but if you search for TNO HOI4 I'm sure you can find it. TLM is, I presume, "the Long March" mentioned in the description.

Fanfiction (and Fanfiction-Adjacent) Acronyms and Terms Guide

TNO is a Hearts of Iron IV mod. ISOT is isekai at scale. OTL is original timeline.

What if there a physical/spiritual law that makes it impossible to create weapons more advanced than medieval ones.

Most fantasy settings have some anachronistic elements, but I wouldn't go that far.

    Worm: Necrotic Chronicles

Probably because the author is mainly updating it on Spacebattles and not here.
