Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
I mean, sure. If we’re going complete fantasy, throw in some Coil time-split action to get the really precise data comparison. I’m not really looking for that level of precision though, just anything solid that points in the direction of the vaccine benefiting its recipients if they actually...
O-kay? This semantics lesson is trying to tell me that when you said-
-you were saying ‘people who are vaccinated are likely to simply not (show any negative symptoms). Do you want me to count this as zero symptoms’? That seems like a weird question to ask, as with that definition the answer is...
Ah, no. ‘Zero symptoms‘ is slightly different to ‘did not catch’, in that asymptomatic carriers can still spread but you presumably can’t if you did not catch it in the first place.
The vaccine is supposed to be 95% effective after the second shot has had time to take effect. In looking up...
I mean, I believe you, but why not?
Like, you can track what percentage of people who catch COVID* have mild, moderate or severe symptoms; why can’t you compare what percentage of people that catch it after having the vaccine have mild, moderate and severe symptoms, and compare?
*not sure...
Can someone point me towards somewhere that has statistics on how reduced the symptoms of COVID are if you do catch it after having the Pfizer vaccine?
Take care of yourself as much as you can.
Generic advice (ignore as appropriate):
Contact a doctor if at all possible for advice. If you have someone who can help you out (getting shopping/supplies), maybe considering asking. Drink fluids and rest. Apparently medication for fevers can help...
I mean, knowing your limitations and trusting those smarter than you isn’t a bad way to live your life, but you need to be at the very least selective about who you trust to know about each subject. Steven Hawking was also ‘a lot smarter’ than him, but he probably shouldn’t be getting his...
Found a couple of websites that talk about it-
https://crhcf.org/insights/how-to-explain-death-to-children/
https://childdevelopmentinfo.com/how-to-be-a-parent/communication/talk-to-kids-death/#gs.igs0hz
-and there’s a load more you can easily look up. But I’ve never done it myself so I can’t...
This feels like something right out of r/insaneparents. I would try and give some advice, but I highly doubt I’d think of anything you haven’t already considered. For as little as it’s worth, you have my sympathy.
I get that feeling of helplessness/defeatism, with how infectious it is and how little some people seem to care about spreading it. Just gotta hope that the vaccine will be ready and distributed before you catch it, while taking all the steps you can to stay safe. Just gotta remain hopeful.
