• A notice about Rule 3 regarding sites hosting pirated/unauthorized content has been made. Please see here for details.
  • Staff is working to deal with the problem of synonymous tags. See here for more information and to suggest tag mergers.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

On a Pale Horse (Umamusume/Youjo Senki)

Even still... it doesn't really have anything more to do with the thread aside from the fic being in the Umamusume universe. Those sorts of discussions that are only relevant due to sharing a universe are better for the general threads for the fandom.

Suggestion - SMUT prefix in NSFW

That is actually the whole point and how we have always done it. SFW guarantees SFW throughout the thread, including comments. NSFW guarantees nothing.

    Deleting threads?

Nah, it would be a substantive update, especially coming from the author, so go for it.

What's a forum where I can post story reviews?

That would likely fit best in either General or NSFW General.

    Question about chapter splitting conventions

From a rules perspective, you can do any of those options (and more besides). As far as what the general userbase will like... well, there are some who like big beefy chapters, even in excess of what you have. And others that crave some as small as 300 words a pop. Both populations do exist...

The staff have certain permissions locked behind a first non-profile post being made, and then approved by staff. Then, every hour or so, a job will go through and grant the extra permissions (like modifying your profile). Just make a post in a thread (like the introduction thread), and it...

    Ban Request

We can't do just the NSFW areas, but we can do the entire forum. Will that work?
  13. tacobowl8

How do I change my username

It is set up that way because of the scenario where you would have spam accounts just joining and posting spam/scam stuff all over. By requiring the one first post that needs to be manually approved before the account unlocks, any such spam is invisible to normal users and mods can clean it up...

Yep, no worries. We typically don't infract somebody after the necro because maybe they didn't see the necro warning or any of a dozen reasons, so you are fine.

And just a reminder, this IS still the SFW side of the forum.

Swore saw a story name, but cannot find it now

The other option there is that the thread author might want to purge the thread themselves, so they update the thread title, and edit all of their threadmarks.

Yep, it is just spiraling. ~Closing Time~ ~You don't have to go home, but you can't. stay. here~ Take any further discussion to one of the many existing AI threads.

    (Partially) fixing the tag system

Fun history behind how slash came to mean gay. It came from old fanfic descriptions where they included pairings like: Spock/Kirk, and since when you say that outloud, you say 'Spock slash Kirk', well, that came to be the pairing, and since so much of that was gay pairings, 'slash' came to mean...
