    On my end it's consistent on how it messes up. If the page is fully loaded then it loads the drop down. If the page is still loading, typically stuck with some ad, then clicking takes me to the alert page.

    Interesting start, I'm looking forward to how it progresses. One tip/request right away, all the stuff you put in ( ) explaining behind the scene stuff, you should move them all to the end of their respective chapters. Having it in the middle of the story is really jarring and ruins the flow.
