Aldnoah Zero Season 2 and why it kicks ass

    It's really late to start this, but just watching the newest chapter (11) had me going "oh damn she still has this card to play" and "Fuck ya! Birth of an Empress bitch!"

    Say what you want about Inaho, but all the cast that the story shows are pretty strong in themselves.

    Eh, I never finished the first season, and couldn't be assed to start the second. I was pretty fond of the girl with the short red (maroon?) hair that was always wearing a hoodie, though. Maybe I'll pick it up again some time.

    I can't get into the show. Until the second sortie of the canon fodder squadron, midway through season 2, we didn't see a single kill on screen that wasn't because of Inaho. Not one. I've never seen a show take it to that extreme before.

    As for the characters:

    I fucking hate Slaine, he's a moron and he needs to die.

    Inaho is kind of fun, but now he shares headspace with exposition-bot 9000.

    The princess is a nice person, though not very smart.

    Nothing really leaps out to me. The show tries hard, but IMO, doesn't attract me. Even this empress declaration thing has be going 'But why can they from their one spaceship take over every form of communication in the solar system? Why doesn't EVERYONE do that if one ship can do it?' and 'This is just going to cause a civil war in the martians you know.'
