1. Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.

I'm pretty sure this is due to me being incompetent rather than a bug, but I keep getting email notifications of thread updates that I don't want.

When I click watch, I always chose the option without email notification. It seems like if I post a reply, I will always get an email notification of further posts in the thread. Is that working as designed, or is there an option to prevent that which I am missing?

Under your preferences there's an option to automatically watch threads you reply to, with suboptions for receiving emails notifications. I think they're enabled by default so you probably have to disable them.

You'll probably need to unwatch and rewatch the threads to make sure you stop receiving the emails afterward as well.

For threads that you already watch, you can quickly turn off all email notifications (assuming that you want zero emails). Go to Watched Threads, then at the bottom of the list, click on "Show all watched threads". At the top right of that list, click on "Manage Watched Threads". There is an option there to disable email notifications.
