QQ will have forum downtime on October 21, starting at 10:00 AM Eastern time, for software updates.

Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

AO3 down?

McPhoenixDavid · 2026-10-30T04:19:30+00:00

Archive of Our Own (AO3) is probably one of the biggest internet sites or fictions, there are millions of stories from almost every fandom you can think of. There is no need for introduction. Recently, it was down for maintenance but now... It's almost been a day. Official words: Update - We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. If that does happen, there may be times when the site has to be brought down temporarily until this is fully resolved. Please stay tuned for further info. I've seen: "AO3's servers have basically been completely destroyed by the php vulnerability stuff, someone took advantage of it and cooked the website. they have backups of everything so fics and accounts have not been lost, and accounts are not compromised, but they have to rebuild their entire infrastructure." Two hours ago, they posted on their official Twitter account: Earlier today, we detected evidence of a security incident on #AO3. We are still in the early stages of investigating. No AO3 data has been deleted. All your works, bookmarks, kudos, etc., are safe. Let's hope it doesn't take that long and it gets resolved soon.

AO3 has been down for a few days, thus, a new name had come to light. It had essentially mirrored AO3's forum.

About 50% of the work from AO3 was available on this site.

It also charged money for audiobooks and claimed that the money "will reach"/reaches" the creators. Some people, including me, also published original works other than fanfictions which had also been mirrored and...

The site was called ao3 dot life.

Some authors sent email to AO3, I did too. And their reply was very swift (probably automated.)
