Has anyone seen any good or interesting ways in which crafting was used in quests, games or stories? The only Story I have seen where it has Major importance was "Putting the Craft into Warcraft" by Lost Star and to a degree, Titan Quest by Fancy Face. Both of them use rather Freestyle Systems with just skill and ressources being important, though Lost Star has materials being more important mostly because in Titan Quest there aren't really any super-Special materials except for what the Mc makes.

Have you seen any other craftsman Quests or games where the MC makes items as a Major part of the Story?

And do you know any interesting crafting Systems that could work in written Format?
