  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Out of plain curiosity. I was rechecking the rules of QQ and I remembered something that SB has a rule that all posts should be in English. Since thats not present in QQ's rules. I assume there is more leeway to use other languages abit?

Nah, we do require you to post in English. It's too difficult to moderate otherwise. We should really have it in the rules…
Thanks for the clarification. And yeah, you should probably add it since last I checked it a few minutes agao. That was not a rule. At least someone pointed it out before you got a headache about complaints about unfairness due to users having a legit complaint about it not being there huh?

It's not been a problem for the last fifteen years, so I wouldn't worry about it? That's generally how QQ's rule culture works, right? There's no real need to over-legislate non-existent problems.

As long as a user follows the biggest unofficial-official rule, which is 'obey mod directives', there's not likely to be much of a problem, practically. We do plan to add (at least some of) the unofficial-official rules, at some undetermined future date, but I wouldn't expect that to be anytime soon.

While it's not in the official rules it is unofficially official that English is the language of the board as it is the one all the admin/mods understand.
And we will tell people that if their first post is in a language that isn't English… (and not an add to some bullshit scam)
