Sorry about the doublepost, but I just felt like sharing this little story since I'm thinking about it now.
So, around a decade or two ago, when I was still a fresh faced student in Warsaw University (Warsaw being the capital of Poland if you don't know nor care about European geography), one day I was walking towards the bus station a few kilometers away from my dorm, dragging my suitcase on wheels with my stuff behind me. I pulled my wallet out of my pocket, checking the coins once again, seeing if I had enough to buy a ticket and get back home to my family for the weekend. I did, but somehow I had failed to put my wallet back into my pocket again, and apparently had dropped it on the road without me even noticing.
Well, I noticed it a few minutes later when some truck driver later caught up to me, stopped in the middle of the road and gave my my missing wallet that I didn't even know I was missing at the time. This madlad had, apparently, noticed some random pedestrian (me in this case) dropping their wallet on the pavement, stopped his vehicle to pick it up, and then made an effort to track me down and went out of his way just to give it back. On the busy streets of the capital city.
It was a small act of kindness, but it sticks with me to this day.
