Snnnnrk. It's not actually physical objects. I was being vague on purpose, but putting it like that is hilarious!

But that's definitely not the case. Somehow there are 192 items on the list, all 192 are accounted for, and then there's one more thing that somehow doesn't make the count come up 193. I've checked and I'm still baffled.

if it should be 12 missing then you gave the wrong range for missing things, since the missing range count you gave comes up to 13.

Have you tried just cutting off the cylinder -- wait, wrong vague problem.

Oh, I see what I did. I was counting the missing items on my fingers, the first five on one hand and the other 8 on my other, and then missed counting my thumb being down for some damn reason.

Never mind, crisis over, I'm just blind and apparently can't count.

The way I count on my fingers is:

Right fingers: 1 2 3 4
Right thumb: 5 and turn down fingers, that gets to 9 on one hand.

Left fingers 10 20 30 40
Left thumb: 50 and turn down fingers, this gets me to 99 using both hands.

Still sick y'all, but I'm living the dream.

Due to a very generous donation I am currently in a motel room. For the first time in a long time I have actual privacy. Of late I've been either in my car, in a shelter, or in a hospital. No privacy in any of those places.
I took an afternoon nap after a long shower and I slept better in that nap than I have in a loooong time. No subconscious worry about people walking up on me or anything like that. Plus, I could take off my clothes and just relax and sleep without being eyeballed by strangers.

It was the the best.

I'm looking forward to going to bed soonish.

Also, got to break out the ol piece of shit laptop. Fucking thing doesn't have a video card and cost about 100$ in 2018.

Still way more convenient to type on than a phone though.

You could always try being hypercritical of your own hypercriticalness.

More seriously, try finding a work that is vaguely like works you have enjoyed in the past, that you only know about by the briefest description otherwise, and going in blind to read/watch it.
 
The motel was a good choice, still sick but I don't feel as weak as I did after that deep rest.
Dozing off at this rest area I had a unique nightmare; I specifically dreamed that I had been driving before dozing off.

That'll jolt ya awake!

Nevertheless the duration of this illness is edging into "worrisome" territory.

The Mobile Millionaires Cabal is still very present as well. No idea what campground or campgrounds are drawing so many of them. <shrug>

So I was driving down a town street (was in town to get some groceries) and I passed by a sign that said "Beta Center"…

Right nearby were a few soft looking guys in pastel polo shirts standing around and talking.

I started laughing so hard I had to pull over and it triggered a coughing fit that went right back to laughing as it cleared up.

I almost passed out.

I remember Animorphs. I don't think I've ever seen any other fictional works handle putting limitations on a power as broken as the ability to shapeshift into any animal nearly as well as Applegate did, while still keeping it as a fully functional superpower. The yeerks were horrifying, and the aliens in the series actually felt alien, and Visser Three was so evil that it frequently looped back around into incompetence. It's a series that should have gotten more attention than it did.

I think I'm getting sicker. I've had this cough for actual weeks now and I'm constantly congested to hell and back.

Also, exhausted. It never gets any easier y'all.

At least the price of gas has gone down a little.
