Man! Tell me about it. I was trying to be clever by trying to add a line break to the title (Shift + Enter to automatically post your thread btw) so I could make the thread title have a tagline. If it worked like that, it would've said:

Why was I gone for so long?

In an event that caused a violent panic attack once I got the diagnosis (as in my panic violently kicked my ass, not me getting violent) I got COVID. Fucking amazing, right? Managed to avoid it even while homeless and then after a visit to the hospital for a heart attack I apparently caught it. I'm lucky that I was vaccinated before ending up on the streets, but I'd not had any boosters so it wasn't an absolute defense.
My generally poor health and 37 years of smoking meant it was a very bad time. Very bad. I genuinely thought at quite a few points that I was going out like my Dad. It haunts me how okay I was with it. Recovery is ongoing because I was in shit condition when it started.
While homeless I lost about 30 pounds, since February I lost a bit over 140 pounds. I weigh less now than I did when I was 14 years old and my stomach looks like a fucking rasin. If I stand the right way my stomach looks kind of like a VHS ready torso vagina straight out of Videodrome.
My shortness of breath is worse (probably permanently) and not caused by my heart, and none of my clothing fits at all. Like, none of it. My fucking boxers slide down inside my oversized pants. I can kind of make the pants stay up most of the time but the underwear is chancier. Because of where I am and the near absolute lack of transportation I can't even go seek a damn clothing bank. But at least I'm probably no longer in immediate danger of dying, so at least there's that
And I'm having a lot of trouble getting any kind of benefits both because I moved and because of other stuff not to be mentioned on QQ, also I've not been able to do paperwork for quite a while now.

On the upside, the fevers and random Youtube audiobooks created my newest story, so I have that now that I can write again. Also, listening to and watching a repeating playlist of Dpeezy2099's Jailhouse recipes while running a 103 degree fever has ingrained a deep and unhealthy fascination with the idea of making a jailhouse spread

I don't have the spare money or the desire for kidney damage needed to do it. Yet. But I'm pretty sure I have brain fog or something so who knows if I might have a breakdown and go for it at some point...

I'll try to keep it brief:

Dude got mad over a fanfic called "A Father's Wrath" (much better in quality). Dude starts a thread called "Goofy Wrath" with the original fanfic being interrupted by his totally-not-a-mary-sue called Lady C, an EXE OC (You know these sonic horror games? Yeah, from that genre). Lady C crashes hundreds of franchises into the fic to force rule-by-majority.

I'm not kidding. Dude put up a list of franchises that crossover with the fic, one of which is freaking Michael Jackson. What, is he gonna hee-hee across the screen? Anyway, now that Lady C has established control, she starts preaching at the fic's protagonists (and it becomes clear the author has completely missunderstood most parts of the fic) and belittling them for being bullies towards her favs.

Nevermind that these favs fucked up Creation and more recently defiled the corpses of the protagonist's soliders.

And get this: all this is from brainstorming in that thread. There's not a single chapter published yet.

Or rather, there was a chapter published, but it didn't go over well and ilbgar tried to save face by claiming it was a rough draft.

Again: hundreds of franchises. Smushed together to gain control over all of it. Lady C even admits it causes chaos and destruction, and that she'd need to fix that. Later, once she has put the protags in their place.
