Heh, now I'm picturing Sunnydale getting an extra defender because Buffyverse Gaia managed to wake up enough to notice earth only has the one defender and coughed up a Garou to help out.

So... considering Buffy's dating history in that series, does she launch herself at big and fuzzy to slay? Or lay?

Yes, that is how all TTRPGS work. The source of grumbling is that HtP is going to be a lot of people's first introduction to the setting, meaning they're going to get some of Alfa's home-lore mixed in with the actual lore.

Remember what's canon in WOD is still exclusively up to the storyteller the books are the canon that you can use but you can change anything you want to whenever.

Sure, but given they've explicitly said the show is partially meant as a means of introducing people to WoD, them so blatantly and unacknolwedgedly ignoring such a major piece of the lore for the kingdom of albion stands out. Mythras is kind of a big deal, and his contempt for Tremere is as well. Now, thanks to these goofy goobers, thousands of people are heading into the game with huge misconceptions about the setting. Not a massive problem, but since they didn't mention it wasn't legit canon their headcannon becoming so many's "true" cannon is something that does leave a slightly off taste in the mouth of an old head like me.

IIRC, Vlad's still kicking, and a Tzmichi (the body-warping ones). IIRC, he somehow managed to humiliate and diablorize several vampires, rising in generation more than once over the centuries. He's amused at the fame he gained, and finds it funny that other vampires almost universally can't stand him.

Vlad the Impaler was part of a now extinct revenant bloodline. His embrace into Clan Tzimisce and lowering of his generation was an incredibly brilliant series of ploys and plans of his (and also the plan of an elder Tzim, which he fucking hates) and made his revenant bloodline too dangerous to keep around so they were all eaten.
He even commissioned the book Dracula.
Vlad Dracula is 100% all Vampire, no Garou, related.

Granted, his Revenant family might have also been Kinfolk, it's not impossible.
Just very unlikely. And the chances of them being specifically Mokolé Kinfolk are especially low.

Wondering if anyone ever asked this before but what are the chances that Vlad Dracula is a Mokolé kinfolk? I expect disappointment.

I have nothing else to add other than ramblings about that original setting I should somehow turn into a TTRPG legally distinct competitor. Kind of like Pathfinder if it was written by a historian/mythologist/schizo-theologian.

Or some OC Donutsteel who operates on pure out-of-context bullshit that's better used for something original instead of inserted like a bad fanfic. Regarding things like the Order of Saint Christopher. And so many other of WOD's missed opportunities. Like, the Fenlings and the irony that the (mixed)race of hyberborean furry giants have no idea what their protestant Old World Counterparts are talking about and vice versa where the only thing they have in common is some distant shared ancestry and two different flavors of misanthropy. Also I really want racist Gumiho making the Klan look tame via crucifixions because nobody wants to point at the missing elephant that is the Blasian question. Also Asena the canon wolf milf of turks, and Jewish Werehyenas of Beta Israel supplying Holy Weapons to to the Solomonic Dynasty of Ethiopia. And Muhammad having a catgirl wife.
