This is my first attempt at a mecha fanfiction of any sort. This is heavily inspired by Gundam Seed Intervention by Illuviar. I highly suggest you check out their story as Illuviar is great at telling stories.

Disclaimer: I own only the devices I used to write my stories.

Phase One: The Attack on Neutrality

I woke up in a void and saw one of the scariest sights that is possible to see for an anime fan. A giant green ball with soulless black eyes with four distinct round ports that were currently shut and a line going around the middle. It was a freaking Haro that was definitely oversized as it was taller than me and then it got worse as it spoke.

"Hello there I am the great Haro and you shall help me fix the Cosmic Era at least as your first project. You are going to be an Intelligence Officer of the Eurasian Federation military whose current mission is to find out all you can about the Atlantic Federation's plans for the Archangel and G-Weapons. You are supposed to be part of a cross unit training initiative under Mu La Flaga. You are arriving at Heliopolis the morning of the attack on the colony. You are here as a replacement to the former Intelligence officer who dies in the attack later today. Oh and you are not a Coordinator but may have been extraordinarily modified in the last few months by the Earth Alliance as a prototype of the Atlantic Federation's boosted men project to recover from a major incident."

The high pitched voice grated on my nerves as I listened to it explain to me exactly how screwed I was. Then exactly what it said registered in my mind. I am a freak who has a troubled past and there are sure to be side effects from being brought through that horrific program.

"Why yes there is consequences from the program that led to you being remade. Ever since you have recovered you have had to take medicine just like the boosted men but your abilities far out weigh those of a normal Coordinator as a result."

Great I would be stuck dealing with one hell of a mess and I was certain that I would be stuck babysitting the Gundam Seed universe's Jesus in the form of Kira Yamato. The question was if I would need to do something special about the story as I had no trouble trying to change things for the better.

"Yes, you will likely end up taking care of Mr. Yamato as he starts out on his journey as a Gundam pilot. I will let you know now that you can try to change the way the story turns out but it will not be easy as the timeline is resistant to change. You should only have about an hour after docking before the attack starts so have fun and now go enjoy your day of fire."

Waking up in the shuttle seat was less than a fun experience than one might think. I took a moment to get my bearings before looking out the window into the vastness of space. Then the headache hit hard, it felt like someone had cracked open my skull then decided to shove a terabyte of data into my mind along with the hardware to read it.

I now know that I am aboard a Capricorn transport shuttle headed into Heliopolis and that I have been serving as an ONI officer for the Eurasian Federation along with an ace mobile armor pilot. I am now being assigned to the Archangel as a show of cooperation between the Atlantic Federation and Eurasian Federation to prove that they are still allies. I was injured in the battle of Yggdrasil. Afterwards I was recovered and rebuilt as most of my body had been damaged beyond what most could handle.

The scientist had made me stronger than normal as well as reinforce my skeleton and a computer was implanted into the base of my skull. The computer helps my information processing to levels that are at least as good as a Coordinator. Just as I was about to relax I heard a ding from my futuristic smart watch. Looking at it gave me a simple message of *Meds*

I let out a sigh at the notification but remembering the effects of not taking the medicine had on the Atlantic Federation pilots I quickly went back to my seat and pulled my bag out of its storage space under the chair and pulled out the inhaler style medicine taking the concoction quickly allowing the drugs to relax my whole body momentarily. As the drugs flooded my system I thought about the computer that I now housed in my head. With its help I don't even need to looked at the readouts to know what the sensors see on any compatible units I pilot. The down side was the medicine I had to take to resist rejection and that I need to charge the system to keep the extra processing power.

The seat belt sign lit up and the pilot announced that we were on our final approach to Heliopolis. I quickly buckled up and grabbed ahold of my bag. Which held a full change of civilian clothes and one of my uniforms along with two months worth of medicine for my modifications and my basic hygiene essentials. In the side pocket of my bag was a copy of my orders something I felt I would need once I made it onto the Archangel. A quick pat down after I buckled myself back into my seat told me that my military identification was in the inner breast pocket of my jacket and my cover identification was in my pants pocket along with my boarding pass. This was going to be a fun time for me as I felt the shuttle dock with the station. I wasted no time in leaving the shuttle after taking my go bag back in hand but had to slow down as I went through the customs area and make my way through baggage claim without stopping. Sneaking in undercover like this made things more difficult than I felt they should be for this so called joint operation but then I remembered that with my knowledge of the future I had an advantage in the coming battles as long as my suit was functional.

I did have to pause for a moment at the truly impressive sight of the interior of the colony. The cylindrical design as well as the core pillar were both a very impressive sight to see with me coming from the early twenty-first century of Anno Domini before waking up here in the Cosmic Era. It took me a few minutes to get over the shock of the beautiful sight of the colony interior from an engineering standpoint as I had studied it for sometime over my original lifetime. Once I was able to get myself back under control I went about my mission and made my way towards where I know the Morgenroete facility is from the memories of my mission briefing that I received before boarding the shuttle to this colony.

As I made my way through the colony towards the car rental station I took notice of those around me. I saw Kira Yamato and company talking as I went and jumped into the first available vehicle. I already knew there was no point in trying to alert anyone to the impending attack as there was a low possibility of me being listened to and I would likely be detained. Even if I were listened to and not detained the forces stationed here at Heliopolis were too few in order to oppose the ZAFT forces that were coming.

I blew past the Atlantic Federation officers as they cruised towards the hanger containing the Archangel. As I approached the barrier of the Morgenroete facility I lit up the brakes to stop right at the barrier and swipe my military identification which let me through but not without a stern warning about my speed. Following my CPU's directions I parked as close to the entrance as possible without a care for the legality of my parking. I jumped out of the vehicle with my pack in hand as I sprinted towards the doors of the facility.
Thanks to the Haro that brought me here I knew that I only had about thirty minutes left before the ZAFT forces attacked the facility. I ran through the halls and jumping down the stairways as the CPU guided me towards where my mobile suit was supposed to be located from the briefing. I already knew that I did not have time to find a flight suit before the attack but I knew that there would be one with my mobile suits supplies as I would have a special flight suit to help connect my CPU to my new mobile suit. My sprinting through Morgenroete did not go unnoticed but I did not care as the area I was in held civilian engineers.

I used my new military identification to scan into the secret sections of Morgenroete. With everything that I knew I wanted inside a mobile suit as soon as possible since that was the safest place for me once the attack started. Once the door opened I continued my headlong rush towards my new mobile suit. I did not waste time admiring the machine once I saw it as I was struggling to keep on my feet as I felt the building begin to shake from the explosives that ZAFT had planted.

My machine was the plain grey of unpowered phase shift armor and was looked as though it were meant for taking on capital ships. It had two "Trikeros" shield, beam rifle combos with three darts under each shield and a rail gun connected over the top of each shoulder. It also had extra Verne thrusters extended beside each shoulder that probably contained some missiles along with a pair of missile pods on the legs of the mobile suit. The suit also had an extended chest area which I had no clue what it might contain. As I jumped over the rail I heard gunshots behind me possibly headed my way. My new suit was laying on a trailer ready to be moved to the Archangel but nobody was around it. Since the attack had already started, I would need to get my equipment and get out of this hanger as soon as possible.

I rolled with my landing and ran towards the cockpit of my new Gundam as I wanted its safety during this time of crisis. Once I made it into my new Gundam I hit the hatch close while stowing my go bag behind the seat where I received my first surprise in the form of my custom flight suit tucked behind the seat along with a week's worth of rations. With that I would not need to meet up with the Archangel if I so chose but the Archangel was my best bet for pulling this world out of its current death spiral of Cordinators versus Naturals. I quickly buckled into my new suit and started booting it up.

As I started up my new mobile suit I looked over everything familiarizing myself with the control layout. I had a set of pedals along with two joysticks and a ton of switches and levers that I instantly recalled what they were supposed to do from my new memories. Once the system was up and running I found that the sensors did not give me enough information since I was still inside the hidden hanger although they seemed more powerful than I had expected for such a heavily armed mobile suit. Letting out a sigh I braced myself before I reached out and grabbed the controls my new mobile suit. With the controls in hand I sit the mobile suit up after I made sure that all the systems were in the green for the maiden flight of the ARC Gundam.

If anyone wants to make some art of how they ARC Gundam would appear feel free to send me the link and I will give you the credit.
