It's amazing how I'm already preparing to write another story, even though I have other things to do like translating a webcomic (I've already said this, but I'm very proud of it).

This story is the second idea I had for a Pokémon story with Pokémon as the protagonist.

Unlike the previous story, this one has a romantic tone. I think it will even have more reach than the other one because of that (because it will, right?).

But I'll warn you that it's a very silly kind of romance, like slice of life, without implicit or explicit 18 content. Almost like the love of very young people, because I think this type is the purest and most decent (yes, yes, call me a puritan, blah blah).

I just think that 18 content spoils the sweetness and lightness of the romance a little.

And after this story, I won't do anything else for a long time, even though I have other ideas. I'll only come back when I start making my TLH list.

That's it, have fun.

The camera slowly zoomed in on a medium-sized U-shaped mansion, with magenta-painted walls, a cocoa-colored roof, many windows, and a colorful garden inside the U-shaped opening. In addition to being surrounded by trees inside a forest.

The camera shifted to show a low angle of the mansion.

Then the focus narrowed as a Rellor appeared, rolling his ball of dirt across the grass.

Rellor kept pushing the ball of dirt with his hind paws until a dark-skinned hand grabbed some grass and pulled it away, making him stop and look startled.

A dark-skinned boy, about 16 years old, with blond hair combed back, the front part just above his forehead being brown like a crown, stared at him with a neutral look while kneeling.

He wore a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, dark blue suspenders that held the shirt up on his thin body, light brown pants, and black shoes.

He gave a slightly nervous smile, "sorry," and gently pushed the ball of dirt with his finger in another direction.

Rellor accepted it and walked in the new direction, away from him.

He turned to the side and picked up another handful of grass.

"You know you don't have to do that."

The boy looked back.

A woman wearing a simple black dress that resembled a maid's outfit, her gray hair tied in a bun, visible wrinkles on her face, and one arm bandaged with a rope around her neck, said with a calm smile.

He waved his hand dismissively, "Nah, someone needs to do this."

He pointed to her arm, "My mother is busy and you can't do it right now."

She made a slightly worried expression, "But you'll end up getting dirty and taking a long time if you do it with just your hands."

He rolled his eyes with a completely unimpressed look, "Maybe because you won't let me use the lawnmower," he said with a hint of mockery.

She assumed an authoritative stance, "Of course not! There are many Bug-type Pokémon around here. It's too risky for someone inexperienced to use it in this garden."

He sighed and turned to the grass with a still unimpressed look, "If you say so. Then back to work."

They both turned and looked up when one of the windows was abruptly opened.

A woman with very long brown hair tied with several elastics in a huge ponytail, wearing a pink shirt with denim overalls and white sneakers leaned on the windowsill and looked down, desperate.

"No!"

She went back inside and ran to another window next to it that was already open.

"NO! NO! NO!"

She appeared at the window and did the same thing.

She repeated this a few more times while almost shouting "No."

She finally calmed down a bit and stood at one of the windows, stretching out and talking to them, "Did you see anything fall?!"

The lady tilted her head slightly to the side, "Lost another piece of jewelry, Mrs. Kula?"

She went back inside with a frustrated expression, "I didn't even leave it near the window this time!"

The boy shrugged, "Maybe I'll find it while I'm digging in the grass."

She put a finger to the side of her head with an uncomfortable expression, "Please. I can't keep buying a new piece of jewelry every time I lose another."

He made a nervous expression, "Maybe you should have figured out why you're losing them instead of buying more."

She quickly changed to a defeated expression as she softened her body until she lay down on the windowsill.

He made a tense expression, "complicated."

"I've never seen anyone like jewelry so much," he thought.

He went back to the grass.

But then he looked up again, seeing two red eyes staring at him from one of the first-floor windows.

Inside, it was a hallway with a floor painted with flowers in various colors and patterns, green walls, and many doors and windows.

And a Mawile, who was wearing a kind of gray belt with a mega evolution stone on his chest, at the window looking out on tiptoe. And seeming to have something hidden inside its mouth, on its head, and in the lap of its arms.

Mawile shivered in fright, her limbs rising, and tried to move away from the window.

Mawile spotted a butler, dressed in simpler butler clothes, coming down the hall.

Mawile turned to the side and used her large mouth to turn a doorknob and run into the room.

Mawile calmly closed the door just before the butler arrived.

He walked through the door without even noticing.

After a moment, the door opened and Mawile stuck half her body out, looking in the direction the butler went.

Mawile stepped out, closed the door with her large mouth, and turned to leave.

Then she braked, making a comical car brake sound, when she noticed the boy coming down the hall.

And he noticed her.

She quickly threw her large mouth against her arms and hid it behind her body.

She stood with her arms behind her back and an alert expression as the boy arrived.

He stopped in front of her, "Hey Mawile, are you okay?"

She spoke quickly and briefly.

He pointed to the garden, "I saw you looking at us. I just wanted to know how you were."

He looked at the Mawilite on her chest.

He gave a slight smile, "Your Mawilite must be the only piece of jewelry that hasn't..."

His tone slowed as he noticed Mawile's strangely attentive gaze.

"Having disappeared...".

He tilted his head slightly to the side, noticing that her large mouth seemed to have "cheeks" full.

He snapped back to reality and stared at her suspiciously, "Are you eating metal again?"

Mawile stretched her arms out to him, shaking them agitatedly.

He looked even more suspicious, "Have you seen any of my mother's jewelry?"

She put her arms back behind her back and shook her head in denial, still with a watchful gaze.

He narrowed his eyes.

"Okay."

She walked out with her large mouth shrinking back, passing him as he followed her with his eyes.

She soon reached the end of the hallway and turned to the side, disappearing.

As soon as she vanished, he ran after her desperately.

He stopped abruptly, one hand on the wall for support, and looked down the other hallway.

There was nothing but more doors and some furniture with vases of flowers.

He groaned irritably with a grumpy grimace.

##

Mawile walked across the grass at the back of the mansion until she stopped a short distance from the property.

She put her mouth forward and opened it, causing a pile of jewelry to fall into a small mound.

There were pearl necklaces, earrings and gold-colored cords, bracelets that looked like silver, among other things.

She smiled proudly at the pile of jewelry and ran back to the mansion.

The camera shifted to a completely dark and directionless environment.

Which was then illuminated by the light coming from the door being opened.

The boy opened only a crack in the door and looked inside.

He soon got a grumpy expression and closed the door.

He walked to another door while muttering, "How does someone so small disappear so quickly?!"

She opened the door calmly. And her expression calmed.

Mawile was on a stool, his arms resting on the windowsill as he looked out.

"What are you doing?" he whispered.

He tried to stand above her to see, then tried to look around, but it didn't work.

He grumbled grumpily, but soon his eyes froze.

He looked to the side; there was another door just ahead.

He walked to the other door, peering through the crack until it disappeared from sight.

He opened the other door calmly and went inside.

The entire room was filled with various paintings, from flowers to something resembling a purple mist, in simple frames on the walls.

He reached the window and carefully opened it.

He poked his head out slightly, his gaze fixed on something below.

Mawile was staring intently at something down below.

He raised an eyebrow.

But it was the same attentive gaze as before. That look was (most likely) worry.

This seems...

Interested.

He looked where she was looking. His eyes widened.

There on the ground, in the middle of the grass, was a small pile of costume jewelry, apparently left there for a reason.

He looked back at her with a stressed expression.

"And now? Did she really take all that and leave it there, or did she just find it?" he thought.

"I have no doubt that Mawile probably has some involvement in this," then he looked defeated, "And I have no way to prove it either."

He stood there, just staring at Mawile with a frustrated expression.

Then Mawile gasped slightly, almost certainly with joy, and stretched a little further out the window.

The boy was surprised and looked in the direction she was looking.

From the shadow of a tree, a Sableye slowly appeared.

It walked bipedally towards the pile of jewelry. Without hesitation, but also without much interest.

The boy frowned, "A Sableye? What is that?"

He looked back at Mawile and his eyebrows furrowed even more.

Mawile's eyes seemed larger than normal, shining in a watery and magical way. In addition to having a mouth that looked like a baby bird's beak pointing downwards.

"But what—?", he thought slowly, "This is getting more and more complicated."

"First, Mawile might be involved with Mom's missing jewelry, now a Sableye, which for some reason is outside a cave or tunnel, has appeared as if it were looking for an offering."

Then his eyes widened, "Wait! Sableye live in caves and tunnels to eat jewelry! THEY EAT JEWELRY!"

He quickly looked back at Sableye down below.

Then his despair vanished.

Sableye was now sitting on the ground with his legs crossed in his lap, holding a golden, shimmering earring shaped like an Umbreon's head, but with black stripes and sclera and the rest gold.

Without much enthusiasm, he bit the earring, then put it in his mouth and closed it.

He sat there, hands on the ground, silent and motionless.

In a few seconds, he had an uncomfortable expression, a bead of sweat on his forehead.

He opened his mouth and the earring fell to the ground, now covered in saliva.

He sighed, disappointed.

The boy frowned in confusion, "Eeeeeehhhh...".

He looked back at Mawile.

Now Mawile was much less animated. Mawile almost seemed sad.

He looked down again with a neutral expression, "Okay, I give up. I have no idea what's going on."

Sableye picked up the earring and inspected it for a bit, but then threw it back in frustration.

Mawile looked hurt...

And the boy pointed an angry finger at Sableye, "HEY! WATCH OUT FOR WHAT ISN'T YOURS!"

Both Pokémon looked at him in fright.

The boy climbed onto the window and jumped, falling two stories to the ground.

He landed hard and immediately ran to Sableye.

This caused Sableye to awkwardly stand up and run back to the trees.

The boy stopped in front of the piece of jewelry Sableye had discarded and crouched down, checking it carefully.

Not long after, Mawile ran past him.

Mawile stopped in front of the shadow of the trees, with a distressed expression.

The boy stood up and sighed in relief, "Good thing it doesn't have any scratches."

He turned to the pile of jewelry.

His expression turned stern.

He turned to Mawile, "Very well! I hope you can explain-".

Mawile's large mouth attacked him quickly, plunging everything into darkness.

The camera shifted to the inside of the room Mawile was in, a room with a bed, a table with chairs, a mirror, a wardrobe, and plenty of empty space. Everything relatively simple.

Then Mawile appeared, leaping inside through the open window. While carrying the struggling boy in its large mouth,

Mawile landed and quickly put him down.

Mawile opened its mouth and the boy coughed, sitting on the ground, "You need to brush those teeth!"

Mawile pointed at him and spoke angrily to him.

He had a surprised expression, which soon changed to irritation.

"Oh! Really?!", he stood up and confronted Mawile, "What do you think about, before you yell at me for whatever that was, you admit that you've been stealing your mother's jewelry?!".

In an instant, Mawile's expression turned neutral, and his body became white and limp as if it were paper, its contours becoming distorted.

The boy frowned, annoyed, "So it's you!".

Mawile lowered his head and the pointing finger slightly.

"Which means you're the one who left that pile outside!".

Mawile lowered his head and finger a little more.

"And it also means you did it for that Sableye to EAT!".

Mawile's whole body went limp, his limbs, head, and torso drooping as Mawile groaned in shame.

The boy's expression eased slightly, "And why? You know Mom loves her jewelry."

Mawile returned to normal, lifting his head slightly and looking into his eyes.

Mawile stood up again and silently looked away from him.

The boy crossed his arms and gave a tired sigh.

Mawile followed them with his eyes as he walked away.

The boy sat on the bed and gave a few calm pats on his side, but with a serious expression.

Mawile walked slowly towards him and jumped backward, landing seated next to him. But at a certain distance.

He frowned, "Can you explain all this to me?"

Mawile was quiet for a moment.

Then she calmly spoke to him.

His expression eased a little more, "I'm glad you admit it. But why give, specifically, Mom's jewelry instead of something else?"

Mawile intertwined her legs and arms with a shy expression.

A bright white flash appeared and changed the scene.

A room was being lit with an orange-yellow color by a fire in the fireplace.

Mawile was sitting on the inside ledge of a window, so the outside was dark with small snowflakes slowly falling from the sky.

A woman with very short hair and wearing a simple dark blue dress was sitting in a chair with a dark-skinned baby wrapped in blankets in her arms, very close to Mawile.

The woman took one arm away and looked at a simple silver ring with a Mawilite on it.

"I don't think I'll wear this anymore."

Mawile tilted his head to the side.

She gave a nervous smile, "I haven't been a trainer for a long time, but I love jewelry."

Mawile then jumped to his feet and tried to take off his silver belt.

The woman waved her hand to Mawile, "Calm down! Calm down! You don't need to take it off."

Mawile stopped and looked at her confused.

"I want you to keep your stone."

Mawile spoke, confused.

The woman approached, pointing to the stone, "I want you to think of this as a gift. Now this stone isn't ours, it's yours."

Mawile looked at his belt.

"I want to say that I'm giving you something I like to show you how much you mean to me. Because for me, this is a great proof of love."

This made Mawile stare at his belt with a fascinated expression.

The flash happened again, now returning to the present.

Mawile's arms and legs were even more intertwined, and he had an embarrassed expression with red cheeks, looking away.

The boy stared at her in shock.

He looked back, seeing Mawile's large mouth grinding its teeth nervously against the wooden part of the bed.

Then the boy began to laugh very loudly, making a comical expression.

Mawile's nervousness faded, and she slowly turned her head with a deadly expression at him, while he laughed even harder.

He stopped with a cry of pain when Mawile's large mouth bit him from the shoulder to the waist vertically.

He slapped the mouth with a terrified expression, "OKAY! OKA! I STOPPED!".

The mouth released him, making his body soften in relief.

The mouth recoiled as the boy pointed at it cautiously, "It's just hard to imagine you...".

She gave him a grumpy look, with a small mass of black scribble above her head.

"...acting like a secret admirer".

He straightened his posture and made an empathetic expression, "But Mawile, don't you think there's something wrong with that?"

Mawile looked slightly worried.

"Mom's jewelry isn't real. It's artificial."

Mawile's expression became even more worried, so she nodded.

Now the boy's expression turned worried, "That Sableye never ate any of the jewelry, did he?"

Mawile shook her head in denial.

"What you're doing isn't right."

The boy stared straight ahead and gestured, "Not only did you steal your mother's jewelry, you also don't give them back."

"Besides torturing that Sableye, because they can't resist anything that looks like a gem, no matter how much they know it isn't. They are fascinated by rough gems."

The boy calmed down a little, "And you're still extending this because you don't create attitude-".

He froze with his mouth open.

Mawile had her head down, with lines around her eyes and a deep, haggard look. He almost looked like he was going to cry.

He placed a hand over his big mouth, "I know you didn't do any of this out of malice, but it's the truth."

He gently rubbed his big mouth, "I don't know what the right way to love is. I don't even know if there is one or more than one way."

They looked at each other, "It just...doesn't feel right. Ruining something you love for something else you love or letting unfinished feelings affect you both..."

He made a pained expression, "That doesn't sound like love."

"Don't you agree?"

Mawile looked down. Then Mawile crawled over until she laid her body on his.

The boy sighed, "You decide what you want to do with your feelings, but at least I'll help you do it in a less harmful way."

Mawile closed her eyes and hugged him from the side.

He placed his other hand behind his back and gave a slight smile.

"I didn't think I'd be a love counselor today," he thought.

##

Sableye banged her head against a tree several times.

Then an oval Berry made of red thorns the size of his head hit him in the back of the head.

He staggered his body disoriented until he fell sitting with his back against the tree.

He recovered and looked up, there was a Sentret gesturing irritably at him. He soon ran out of sight.

Sableye looked ahead...

And he pulled at his eyelids, groaning with frustration.

He jumped to his feet and spoke firmly, making a final gesture.

He turned to walk away, but froze with his foot in the air.

He lowered his foot and stared at a bracelet made of silver balls.

His expression became neutral, the outline of his mouth disappearing from his face.

Beads of sweat soon appeared on his head.

A few more seconds passed and he picked up the jewelry.

He bit her and then made an expression of disgust, followed by a tremor of anger.

He threw the jewelry away.

Then another jewel fell to the ground ahead.

He immediately ran over and picked it up, biting it and throwing it away.

Another fell to the ground.

He kept repeating this for a long way through the forest.

*Some time later*

Sableye picked up a trinket from a rocky floor and bit it to get rid of it later.

Then a trinket fell into a mossy cave outside.

Sableye ran deep into the cave.

He picked up the jewelry and bit into it, preparing to throw it away.

Then he froze.

Wait, this place is familiar...

Sableye slowly turned around.

In the depths of the cave, there were many rough gems, of different shapes, sizes, colors and how much they were buried.

He smiled then threw the jewelry back lightly.

Home.

He finally came back.

He ran happily to the gems, plucking a jagged red one from the ground and biting a hole in it.

He celebrated with his mouth full.

A muffled sound came from the cave entrance, making him turn around.

At the entrance, stood Mawile with a cautious expression. The now very cloudy day made it darker.

Mawile raised her hand and waved at Sableye with a crooked smile.

Sableye slightly tilted her head to the side.

This caused Mawile's smile and hand to droop slightly.

Mawile put his arms behind his back and looked away, giving a small kick to the ground.

Mawile inhaled with his eyes closed.

Then Mawile began to talk and gesture.

Sableye slowly opened his mouth, seeming to understand and fit the pieces of the puzzle together.

Mawile rubbed his arm while gesturing.

Then he gave a tentative smile, finally finishing.

Sableye fell silent.

He took a step back.

Mawile's smile faded again.

But his eyes widened when she saw the gem in his hand.

"They are fascinated by rough gems."

She looked down at her Mawilite.

"I want to say that I'm giving you something I like to show you how much you mean to me."

She gripped the belt with both hands.

"Because for me, this is a great proof of love."

She had a determined expression.

Sableye said a low, drawn-out "Sa."

Mawile held the silver belt, now broken at the back, forward with both hands.

Mawile leaned slightly towards him.

Sableye's hand fell, then the gem fell from his hand, and he walked slowly towards Mawile.

Sableye stopped in front of Mawile and picked up the belt, looking at the Mawilite.

Sableye looked back at Mawile, exchanging a brief conversation.

Mawile spoke back with determination.

Sableye turned and walked further into the cave, without taking his eyes off Mawilite.

Mawile gave a small, proud smile.

Sableye stopped walking, turning to find Mawile was no longer there.

Sableye turned to where a small pile of colored gems was.

Sableye went to the pile faster than before and knelt down, pushing the gems aside with one hand.

Underneath them, a stone appeared, identical to the one he had won, but it was yellow with a purple and red design.

He brought his belt closer to the stone, placing the stones side by side.

Sableye stared at them with a neutral expression for a while.

Outside, Mawile stopped on the rocky ground that left an open area, just before the trees.

Mawile inhaled a little and then sighed, very stressed, throwing his body forward.

Mawile adjusted his posture, now with a dejected expression.

Suddenly, one drop of water, then another, and then another, began to fall from the sky.

Soon, the water accelerated until it was raining heavily.

Mawile raised her fist high, swearing furiously at the sky, even throwing a stone she ripped from the ground with her large mouth high into the air.

Mawile calmed down, standing still while breathing a little heavily.

Mawile soon slowed her breathing and returned to having a depressed look.

A not-too-dark shadow passed over Mawile.

Mawile looked up curiously, now seeing a giant red gem distorting the image of the sky above his head.

Mawile glanced to the side and gasped.

Sableye held the giant gem by one end with one hand, remaining outside the makeshift roof.

But Sableye's body had an extra spike on its head, and the others it already had had grown larger, in addition to its eyes being red and a hole with lines coming out of it in its chest.

Sableye showed the silver belt to Mawile.

Sableye began to converse, shaking the belt occasionally.

Sableye brought the belt closer to its body.

A flash appeared, showing Sableye standing while staring at the Sablenite inside its cave.

Sableye looked from the Sablenite to a triangular green gem.

It wasn't the same feeling.

Sableye looked back at the Sablenite.

This wasn't just interest...

It was value.

A flash appeared again, now showing Sableye staring intently at the Mawilite, while a bit of its reflection appeared in it.

Sableye resumed talking, opening its mouth and placing the Mawilite near its tongue.

Sableye stopped the gesture, and Mawile frowned, speaking in an interrogative tone.

Sableye spoke without hesitation.

This made Mawile's eyes widen in admiration.

Sableye continued talking while handing the belt back.

Mawile took the belt, staring at it in admiration.

Mawile smiled.

Mawile looked back at Sableye and noticed the rain falling on his head.

Mawile placed a hand on the stone.

From the Mawilite, several bands of colored light, but mostly white, shone and spread in all directions.

Mawile's body glowed white, leaving only his silhouette.

The beams began to move towards Mawile's body, gradually making him melt.

His arms and legs expanded as his head seemed to grow, while his whole body gained detail.

Then the light exploded from Mawile and disappeared like particles, the stone had vanished and only the belt remained in Mawile's hands.

Mawile's arms and legs transformed into something resembling a loose garment with magenta paint on the tips, and the ribbons on his head stretched considerably, their tips shaped like snake tongues. His large mouth became two new mouths, more wavy, longer, and with fur on their "heads."

Sableye opened his mouth slightly, amazed.

Mawile moved closer to Sableye, almost touching their bodies, and placed his large mouths above him, protecting him from the rain.

They both looked at this, then at each other.

They smiled pleasantly.

In the trees, the boy watched them hidden, completely soaked by the rain.

He gave a proud smile, "I didn't understand anything, but it was incredible."

He put his hand on his chin and looked away, "It would be interesting to have series with Pokémon being Pokémon instead of practically people in Pokémon bodies."

##

Sableye lay in the cave, repeatedly patting its belly in anticipation.

Sableye looked at the entrance with a smile when Mawile appeared in the doorway and waved, also smiling. But now its belt was a more brownish color.

The scene changed, now both were sitting in the mansion's backyard at night, with Sableye eating a square yellow yolk and Mawile eating Pokémon food.

Mawile offered its food to him, so they both swapped.

Sableye ate a piece and shook its head as if to say "It's so-so," while Mawile chewed a piece with its large mouth and looked at it analytically.

The scene changed again, now it was the boy in the kitchen, trying to find something in the refrigerator.

He heard a banging noise and looked, seeing Sableye clinging to the windowsill with difficulty, with only its eyes showing.

"Ah, hi," the boy closed the refrigerator and went to the window, opening it.

Sableye ducked a little and gave a big jump, landing headfirst on the kitchen floor and lying on its back.

Then Mawile appeared in the kitchen in an instant, braking so hard he almost fell.

Mawile went to Sableye, lifted him off the ground, and hugged him happily.

The scene changed once more; now both Pokémon were lying on the grass, watching the clouds, while the boy sat in a chair further away, eating a piece of red velvet cake.

And beside him was a radio on the ground, brown with a large button and a retractable antenna.

Suddenly, a cheerful, yet relaxing, song began to play.

Mawile raised its head and looked at the radio in surprise.

Mawile sat up and chatted cheerfully, making Sableye raise its head.

The boy smiled mockingly, "You love this song, don't you?"

Mawile spoke to Sableye, taking its hand and lifting it off the ground to bring it closer to the radio.

They stopped in front of the boy, and Mawile held both of Sableye's hands, forcing it to dance in a spinning motion with small jumps.

The boy even began to clap to the rhythm of the music.

Sableye shifted awkwardly, a bead of sweat on his forehead and an uncomfortable expression on his face.

Then he looked at Mawile.

Mawile made joyful noises as he guided him with great energy.

This made him smile.

##

Now the sun was setting on the horizon, the boy, his mother, and some servants were eating at a large, but simple, table in an even larger, also simple, dining room.

The mother looked at Mawile, who was eating Pokémon food in a chair elevated for her, "So, Mawile, what have you been up to lately? I haven't seen you much in a while."

Mawile and the boy froze, their food about to go into their mouths.

They both looked at each other without moving a muscle.

A loud doorbell rang.

The mother stood up, "I'll go."

One of the butlers stood up, "No need to worry, ma'am."

She waved to him, "Nah, finish your dinner," and left.

The butler sat back down, while Mawile and the boy sighed in relief.

The mother stood at the door, slightly taller than usual, and opened it.

She looked outside, but saw no one.

"Sa."

She looked down and saw a Sableye with its face almost entirely blocked by a pile of colorful gems.

She made a strange expression, "eeeeehhhhh...".

She showed her index finger, "I'll be right back," and closed the door.

She soon appeared in the dining room and spoke a little loudly, "Sapi, you made a new Pokémon friend."

They both froze before eating again, but now the food fell from their hands.

Mawile jumped out of his chair and ran out of the room as the boy reached his mother.

She looked between Mawile and her son several times.

He took her hand, "Mom, can we talk?", and led her away.

She continued looking between them.

Mawile opened the door with his large mouth and gasped.

Sableye stirred briefly and smiled at Mawile.

Mawile spoke worriedly to him.

Sableye placed the pile of gems on the floor beside him, which made Mawile calm down and look at him confused.

Sableye began to speak while picking up a dark blue hexagonal gem and placing it in Mawile's hand.

Mawile raised an eyebrow at the gem.

Then a round pink gem was placed in the other hand, leaving him speechless.

Then Sableye began to place one gem at a time in his large mouth, without stopping speaking.

The battery then ran out, and Sableye stood in front of Mawile, placing his hands on his chest and stretching them out to Mawile.

He finally stopped.

Mawile now had an admiring look, with a wet glint in his eyes.

"I want to say that I'm giving you something I like to show you how much you mean to me."

Sableye spoke briefly, in an interrogative tone.

Mawile's gaze became slightly distressed.

It just...doesn't feel right. Ruining something you love for something else you love or letting unfinished feelings affect you both..."

Mawile pressed the gems against his body.

"That doesn't sound like love."

Mawile gave a brave smile.

In another room, the boy gestured as he explained to his mother.

He shrugged, "And that's it."

The mother had a completely and truly neutral expression.

Then she frowned, "What?"

They both flinched when they heard a scream. Not exactly of pain.

The camera shifted to the door, from which the heads of the two emerged with curious looks.

Outside, Mawile was hugging Sableye, but was giving him little nibbles on the face with a very sweet smile.

This made him scream and squirm, but not in a way that seemed bad.

And around them were gems fallen on the floor.

They both had a bead of sweat on their foreheads.

The boy gave a strange smile, "I think we have a new member in the family."

A few things to clarify: This story doesn't have a romance category (yaoi, yuri, hetero) because I think it would be better to leave that open. So if they have any gender indication, it's because English isn't my first language (nor my second, nor my third...) and I used gender identity based on the physical aspects of human gender that they seem compatible with (not at all sexist, right? *irony*).

But you can consider their gender however you want.

And another thing is mega evolution, I know it needs a key stone and a trainer, but I gave it some logic.

The key stone would only be a means of contact between the trainer and the Pokémon, who have an emotional bond.

Mawile was able to transform because its stone has a lot of meaning in its life with Mrs. Kula.

And Sableye because gems are its life, what more do I need to explain?

And in case anyone is curious, what they said in the rain was something like, "I have one, and I can't eat it like the others. But yours doesn't make me feel that way", "Then why didn't you eat it?", "Because you said it was important, me eating it would make you sad."

But anyway, I hope you had fun. Because I love writing romance novels, so I loved this.
