As per the name of the title I would like to suggest that saved drafts last longer than 24 hours... and actually works properly for that matter.

I was originally going to go on a lengthy spiel about my experience with it, but decided it might be the best to keep it short and concise and simply make the suggestion and leave at that.

So my suggestion is; Remove the "save/restore last draft" feature completely or simply increase the length drafts are stored... or in the least, indicate how long the draft will be "saved" before disappearing.

Maybe I am failing to spot something ridiculously obvious but I do feel that clarity about knowing how long you have until you may lose many hours of work for an update you forgot to back up would be somewhat convenient.

It's true the state of drafts currently isn't great. I haven't looked into that bit of the software too deeply; I can take a look when next I do maintenance.
