Awakening in the middle of the alabaster plane, a worry shot through the young Stranger, the chalky horizon that greeted the Stranger, even in the dead of night as he awoke.

"the...God? Said what world I'd enter, I hope he was wrong" the Stranger said slowly, the very idea of being trapped within the world of 12,090AD did not appease to his sensibilities.
Raising himself from the dusty ground, the Stranger struggled as the dust clung to his clothes and skin, nothing but a sparsely pair of rugged jeans and rough-spun yet hardy shirt alongside thick leather boots, dull coloured once, now stained white by the sticking white dust.

Looking around, the Stranger could make no difference between the flat chalk plane, yet his mind dragged elsewhere, the fresh boiling in his veins that was strange and spread a joyful feeling deep within his breast.

"That must be rad-child?" the Stranger quizzically asked to no one, the unsaid question on just why there was so much radiation in this plane of what he could now tell was glass and chalk.

As he felt the rustling feeling in his chest, the Stranger looked down to his wrists, a strange cold remained even as the plane of glass and chalk was hot enough to leave heat haze even in the cold of night.

Flexing his hands in a particular way, the Stranger knew despite its foreign reminiscence in his mind, the muscles moving in a way that defies normal human biology and with it came a blood red boiling that emanated from his hand.

Like a haze, or perhaps the strange emanation reminded the Stranger of a lava lamp, the almost liquidous magic that made up the Dark-hand, yet even as he opened and closed the shield that it could become, a hollow feeling was left within the stranger.

Closing his hand finally, the stranger finally chose to focus on where he was.

"So... what direction do i go?" the stranger quizzically looked about, finally after a entire minute of staring into the heated waste of glass and chalk, deciding finally to head in a single direction amongst the featureless waste.

"God why is it so fucking hot?" the stranger yelled in fury, still even as he felt the radiation inside himself feeding the need for water or food, it was none the less a horrible heat, almost demonic its it's haunting that dried sweat near the instant it flashed upon his brow.
Walking onward, the stranger would he reckon by the sight of something different upon the horizon, would leave the white and strange land, the crunching of glass and almost soft squash of the dusty chalk.

Yet despite the joy the man had felt, walking for near three full days in this boiling white abyss. The stranger felt eyes upon himself.

Almost by instinct even, some foregone and long abandoned horrible sense within his mind from ancient epochs, that warned his earliest ancestors of the watchful eyes of predators and beasts like the ancient Smilodon or the intelligent threats of fellow humans or their degenerate kin.

And so the stranger trusted his feeling, even if he did not fully understand it, preparing himself tensely, muscles, though lacking through mind of training, were still those of a human, stocked and prepared in laxity to fight, the stranger stopped moving.

Eyes focusing amongst the bright wasteland, ears sucking in every sound as if a starving man given for a moment as full buffet of his most favoured foods, struggling to find a single sense of the thing that made his body so worried.
Eventually however, even the patience of the most patient predators comes to an end, a single crunch alerted his on edge body, far more quiet then the stranger could ever believe to hear, yet he did.

Turning his head, body short to follow, the stranger came to see a strange and abstract mutant of some horrible temperament
It was a strange thing, flesh scaled with a body much akin to that of a hairless baboon or perhaps a mandrel, yet it's head, otter like, at least it seemed to be in the most basic description of the term, as the face of the mutant peeled back by its lips, revealing teeth of prodigious size, even as its skin drew back and its eyes twisted out of the way to expose more and more maw.

"The fuck are you" the stranger asked himself as he felt more sweat evaporate on his face, eyes flashing around to find anything to use as a weapon, nothing but chalk and minuscule shards of glass that saturated the landscape.
Each time he turned his head to find something to use, the creature crawled closer, until finally it leapt to shred an instant reaction from the stranger found his fist close and swing with radioactivity charged speed, hand finding its way unfortunately into the mouth of the creature as it snapped closed.

In an instant blood splattering the white plane, as teeth sunk into the rigid flesh of the stranger, and too as the teeth were violently ejected from the mutants mouth, bursting with blood as the enhanced punch rendered flesh and bone alike.

A twin scream echoed through the white abyss of glass and chalk as the creature attempted to claw and scratch in some feeble lashing out, yet the strangers other hand, also brought to bear as the bone breaking weapon it currently was struck like thunder to the side of the head of the creature, blood and brains and other foul things flooded out of its skull, surely dead"

"fuck fuck fuck!" the stranger said as he tried to pry the two large fangs that had been wedged within the flesh of his right hand, yet as he pulled them, he saw that just as quickly his hand sealing its wound around the large fangs, each no more the eight inches in length, though scarcely one in width.

Finally with a pained cry, the stranger pried them from their purchase, the two large fangs something fascinating to look upon even if pain flooded his body for only a minute as the wounds sealed themselves quickly.

Holding the fangs in hand, the man finally decided instead of throwing them out, he placed them quickly into a pocket as he looked at the corpse of the mutant, a rage over coming him as he looked at it, hands clenching and boiling over until he began to kick and drag the corpse amongst the dirt, shouting obscenities to the dead mutant.

Finally however, after what felt like a forever of rage, he came to once more, the corpse now little more then broken bones and skin, the stranger took note finally of a blinking light in the very edge of his vision, thinking back to the being that had sent him here those many days ago, he mentally called out for the ticket.

And instantly in his hand, even between the time it took him to blink, he find a ticket no bigger the his own hand, bronze coloured with 'Ability' boldly written on it, on its back written 'kill your first mutant'

Tearing the top of the ticket, in a moment, the stranger felt something new become of him.

[Mystic Eyes of Depth Perception]

These mystical eyes allow you to supernaturally gain awareness of the depth of an object or location in relation to something else.

And so, the stranger began walking again, heading towards that distant change in the horizon.

Ngl this first time I have seen Vampire Hunter D fic although it's a shame he didn't roll Hellsing trait would have been hilarious

Honestly same, dont think I've seen one before to be honest.

But while that would be funny and I am hoping for it, I for once am trusting the draw of the cards when it comes to the tickets

Cool! Don't see too many old horror setting fics nowadays. Closest we usually get is Highschool of the Dead but it barely counts. Good to see this and I hope for more!

Been listening to the vampire hunter d audiobook during the writing of this, and its a great series.

Though honestly for Mr stranger i guess I'll call him rn, to actually meet D is not too likely atleast for a while

Thoughts about the story.

First off I think you should add a tag for the chaos gacha. As I would not have even found this story if I had not just been Doom scrolling through the creative writing list. as I often look for chaos gacha story's via the tag and I assume a lot of other people do too and this won't show up because it doesn't have the tag.

The second thing I want to say is I like the fact that this is not one of the usual settings you see for the chaos gacha. But along with that I want to say the writing left much to be desired in the quality department. As I felt like the third person's perspective was quite awkward for some reason to read. As it feels like you should have described things from a first person perspective and use third person perspective a little bit here and there at most . But the entire thing is written completely from third person perspective and never dropping out of it.

i can understand the confusion when it comes to the writing and i do apologise for that, ive been trying to experiment further in my own writings, i tried to mimic or atleast emulate the writings found themself in the books of Vampire hunter D.

but thank you for the advice and the recommendations
