    We already talked about this in the staff forum and I doubt the opinions of any of my colleagues have changed in the time since. (Although, uh, they're totally free to tell me that I'm stupid and wrong if their opinions have changed.)

    The main point of contention here is that having no AOOB rule is something that's hardbaked into QQ ever since it started which is why an AOOB rule's not going to be implemented.

    Indeed, I would vote no to such a rule if such came up. I don't think the current situation is critical enough to warrant it.

    I would vote against such a rule. If Rule 8 violations in the SB/SV megathreads became overwhelming, it could be addressed by more targeted measures, as indeed is now the policy with long threadbans there.

    Agreed. The problem isn't affairs of other boards, the 'problem' is people trying to 'win' arguments, and unnecessarily bringing politics, over. The first, well, we let the users mock people trying to win an argument in this way. The second, we already have policies in place for such things.
