When editing the display order of threadmarks, it's possible to nest them together, which makes it much easier and neater to organize them and keep track of them based on what category/list they belong in.

Is it at all possible to do something similar, but for the reader's side?

As in, nest my threadmarks such that I can have a threadmark "folder" wherein I can put all of my stories on a certain topic in the same folder, so that if an user is not interested in, say, stories that take place in the Nasuverse, they can just not open that folder, and make it much easier to navigate the compilation thread that contains all of my stories that aren't big enough to merit having a thread of their own.

Keeping a singular archive thread seems like the most convenient way for me as a writer, especially with nested stories allowing me to put multiple chapters of the same story and/or mutually related stories together in such a way that makes the editing experience millions of times easier, but I can imagine that having to read through the titles of dozens of stories that they're not interested in is a problem for readers.

I don't know what, if anything, is possible to do with regards to this, so please forgive my ignorance regarding the stuff under the hood.

I think it depends on what you're trying to do?

Like, I know that on SB/SV I've seen plenty of threads display the threadmarks as a nested list. I don't recall whether I've seen it here or not. Your thread "just the sexy parts" is currently not displaying a nested list for me, but I'm not sure if that's because I'm on mobile.

If the system does allow display nesting, and it allows arbitrary levels of nesting, would that do what you want it to do?
EG, have a "nasuverse" dummy threadmark, and under that you have the first threadmark for "nasuverse story A" with the rest of its threadmarks under that, and the first threadmark for "nasuverse story B" with the rest of its threadmarks under that, and so on.

On the other hand, if you want the ability to "collapse" a section of threadmarks, I'm sure it's possible to implement in general, but I'm also reasonably certain that we don't have it here.

On the grasping hand, if you want to nest the threadmark in multiple locations, I expect that would require a complete overhaul of the system and won't be happening.

Pretty much what you said with collapsible threadmarks, it's weird to me because when editing threadmarks you can actually nest them, so when I'm editing it looks ike this

THREADMARKS
FRANCHISE A STORY A
  STORY B
  STORY C STORY C 1
    STORY C 2
    STORY C 3
FRANCHISE B STORY A
  STORY B
When you've got a couple hundred threadmarks it makes navigating them a lot easier.

Yeah, I've definitely seen threadmarks displayed the way you've got that table before; I just don't remember whether it was on here or somewhere else.
