I know how she will unlock her Zone. Shirogane will get signed up for a sprint as a change of pace. She will attempt to front-run but end up stuck behind Sakura Bakushin O who is too Bakushin to be debuffed. Then she will learn that Bakushin is a commited Jucheist. Refusing to lose to a Commie, Shirogane will unlock her Zone and pass Bakushin for the win.

For me, I am not going to lie, I love what you're doing with Shiro and I want to see where you're going with it. I hope that it's not that she will do nothing—it's a story, so I don't think it will be that way. But at the end, even if we make her okay, I do want to see that race where someone pushes her that far. That place where Tanya Degurechaff comes out—and no one ever wants to see that again..... we know she is a war pony... but that? to all of Tracen academy knows.... shes the smol pony.

It looks like something straight from RE1 concept art for a trap lock. Like how the hell does that even work?
