On a Pale Horse (Umamusume/Youjo Senki)

Just read went through the previous to main story in the game.
I know we are not necessarily following canon one to one, but it brought Agnes Tachyon to my attention.
I wonder how Shiro will react when Agnes requests for her to become her guinea pig in order to study her legs
I'm sure Tachyon will have some interest in Shirogane, but unlike Air Shakur she is a lot more of a dreamer and doesn't usually reach for the most practical solution in her goals - so it would probably be more to see if there is a secret to her legs that can be applied to an entirely different model of running than trying to actually copy Shirogane's performance.

Which is to say, she's genuinely obsessed with speed first and foremost. I have little doubt that if given the choice between fragile legs that are faster and invincible legs that are slower, Tachyon would take the faster legs every time even knowing the cost. Not to say she won't try to learn from Shirogane, but she'd probably be very reluctant to sacrifice speed in reaching for a solution to her legs.

Though I could imagine Shirogane doing well in longer races on foreign soil. Like the ones in Britain or something.
The rougher the other racers are, the better Shirogane does.

Wasn't El Condor Pasa part of Team Rigil? Did the continuity change, or did she get a trainer and will now belong to Team Rigil as well?
Shirogane getting scouted for Rigil butterflies El Condor Pasa into team Spica
Basically this. The other trainers would get upset if Hana gets more than two of the most promising class of runners in the year. Though Shirogane actually does ameliorate this a bit because most of the other trainers would rate El Condor Pasa over Shirogane, at least for now. She's more in the category of Tsurumaru Tsuyoshi in most other people's minds at the moment.

Maybe, with the whole idol thing, the prizes are like, Umadol merch, or merch store credit, so it's a little bit less of a 'lmao, the law' workaround.
Yeah, with the umas also being idols, that would mean gambling isn't as big of a chunk of the revenue (probably still quite a lot). Might be a bit less appealing due to the runners being sapient too, as part of the appeal for betting on horses is that the horses aren't going to match fix (probably). This could also play into why Japan has some of the bigger prize pools, since their racers basically get more broad cultural marketing. It could also give them a reputation for being a bit fragile on the international stage, playing into how Japanese racing tends to allow less bumping.

Shirogane: *more races = more money* "It is for me!"
Trainers: "Toujou-san, are you sure it's a good idea for your trainee to be running so much?"
Hana: "I have my reservations, but she has proven herself to me so far."
Shirogane: "One half day of work every week? This is less work than a part time job!"

But for real I think, Shiro will definitely see the value of marketing herself to the fans, in terms of merch like: Keychains, special editions of certain items, etc.
Oh absolutely. Her plushies might be fairly popular for the gap moe look, but not likely to be too popular initially. A more unique thing she could market would be a recipe book, or marketing her custom hydration gels which include instructions on how to make them. They don't taste like anything, but people become convinced that makes them stronger.

Might I suggest the funny where she instead decides to whisper promises of counter-interrogation training, so she might enlighten the trainer to the importance of mood.

Besides, even at 0 energy, it'd be interesting to introduce a special event.
The funny thing would be that Shirogane is a trainee you actually may want to have low mood, because she performs better at awful mood than great mood. But because she's a steady personality, her mood is usually neutral or good. You would think this means she's great for Trackblazer...but no, running more races triggers an event where she counts money and gets mood and energy up.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if every student at Tracen has a secret guard detail running about
Fine Motion appears to have a guard detail, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Mejiros have one too. The Gold family probably has a...less professional guard detail.

Thus she solidifies her reputation as the "cool beauty" to an international audience.
She'll probably get compared to Air Groove or Mejiro Dober, who she's conveniently also friends with.

Might get labeled the strongest fillies of their years (how does this distinction even work in the umamusume setting?)

Certain races (like the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies or the Triple Tiara races) are considered girly and for "ladies." You can see this in Kawakami Princess' career if you win the Triple Tiara, where you get an event about some people complaining about her winning said races because she's not ladylike.

RL: Shirogane Orzel the racehorse was well known for being the first horse to become a CBA(Certified Business Accountant).[1] She was also the first horse known to edit Wikipedia.[2]

Wonder if she leans more Alto or Soprano. Anyone know any good Polish Arias or Operas that might be up her alley?
Well, most opera is either a romance or tragedy or both which doesn't exactly suit victory songs after a race terribly well.

I've done some digging and the best option I see is from the opera 'Hrabina', about the love triangle between a vain widowed Countess, the nobleman who loves her, and the country girl who loves said nobleman. (A distant cousin of the Countess). After she spurns him the nobleman goes to war and the Countess comes to regret doing so, but when he returns from war he's come to love the country girl.

There's a song in the opera where the Countess is singing about how her new dress makes her a queen. Which obviously brings the question of whether Tanya will just be running in an old military uniform, or whether it will be blinged up like most racing garb is to suit a performance. If the latter, it could work.

Translated lyrics below spoiler.
Dress, something dressed me like this
As if a statue in the Greek style,
So many tributes, so many envy
I will be, I will see today.
My dress! Thanks to you
From this day forward,
My salon will be the center of attention,
Whatever I want, I will do in the salon.

In such a whirlwind – oh, it's nothing
To hear a quiet word of homage,
But amidst adorned, beautiful faces
Of grace, of attire, to be a queen,
Such a scepter is pleasant to bear,
To read in the eyes: hail her, hail her!

Diana's dress flows over me
Like a white spring cloud,
But my modest arrangement,
As if I didn't know it,
That I look good in this dress,
That I feel good, beautiful in it.

For this one ball alone
I sincerely desire still some splendor,
then to flee the city far away
with whomever my heart chooses,
among idyllic cottages to dream,
but let the world pay homage.

You know, I can't help but think that for Shiro's victory performance, she makes and sings her family's restaurant ad jingle. No, wait! I can't help but think that she makes an entire advertisement film live on stage, to everyone's befuddlement! Though, that's probably not what she'll do until she decides to be a little silly.
Quick somebody needs to draw a Shiro plushies! A race horse plushie of her, and a uma version. But for real I think, Shiro will definitely see the value of marketing herself to the fans, in terms of merch like: Keychains, special editions of certain items, etc. Even if she doesn't want to do idol stuff or racing in general, marketability pretty sure is within her forte.

Random thought, but do you think Shiro could pull off doing a live stage cooking show instead of doing the typical idol performance? I can't help but think she would do this to: A: Promote her family's restaurant, B: Help herself stand out from the rest, and C: Show that she could, in fact, cook to sell those recipe books better, as well as other cooking-related items. It's also a cute and funny thing for her to do.
