(Partially) fixing the tag system

Watersports, Pissing, Urination, Urophagia, Urine, Pee, piss, Golden Showers, are all various levels of the same thing, pee|piss|urine drinking and Urophagia are the same thing. They are *not* synonymous with Scat. Lots of people like one and not the other. They are also not synonymous with diapers. It... Comes up a lot and creates issue when grouped. Marking can be piss play or cum play, but it's more scent based when it's paired with furries. It has overlap with body writing because people think "oh mark the body" but Furries use it more than anyone else does to be like "i marked it as mine." (with urine, cum, bite marks, etc.)

Impreg, Impreg later, Impreg every chapter, impregnation, impregnating the female cast of rwby, impregnation eventually, impregnation every chapter, at times impregnation will happen, impregnation/breeding will happen, eventual impregnation, breed, breed to eat, breeder, breeding, breeding galore, breeding kink, breeding eventually, breeding inevitable
theirs absolutely more but all of it can probably just be Impregnation
also a solid WTF on the Breed To Eat tag on my part

So, the fourth batch will be focused on fetishes. It would be useful if people would help list the possible relevant tags to their interests, using the expertise gained in long nights of 'research', and maybe explain which are synonyms and which have distinct nuance. I can hunt down all the variants once I have a text string (like 'ntr') but I need to have an initial lead to have that string.
Nudism, nudity, nude, nudist, naked.

Nudism, nudity, nude, nudist, naked.
"nudity" and "nudism" are not the same. One is the state of not wearing clothing, however temporarily. The other is an intentional habit of regularly walking around nude, generally where notable numbers of other people can see you, and not treating it as a particularly big deal.

I should have grouped it better. Nudism and nudist, then the others as a different tag group.

Although the others are sometimes used incorrectly instead of nudist/nudism, and when it's a story theme there's not much difference.

Monstergirl, Monstergirls, Monster Girl, and Monster Girls all belong together. The same with Monster Boy and Monster Boys (and while Monsterboy and Monsterboys don't exist yet, it's probably worth including them in case).

I'm not sure if these should be separated by gender or all grouped under one tag. If they all go together, then also include "Monster Girls and Boys"

I consolidated those tags in the last batch, and kept the different genders separate (so there's 506 threads linked with 'monster girls', 58 with 'monster boys'). 'Monstergirls' was one of the merges, and 'monster girl' was made a Synonym (same with 'boy' for 'boys').

I didn't add tags that currently don't exist, but might in the future, to the merge list. While it'd likely come in useful, the tags in the system at the moment are numerous enough to fill an almost arbitrarily large amount of my time, without adding all the theoretically possible mistaken formulations.

It's also mostly specific to that setting though. So it probably shouldn't be merged into the main tag.
You're right.

Monster Girls should include Mamono, but Mamono shouldn't include Monster Girls, I forget if that's a thing.

Nope can't nest tags like that, just hard and soft synonyms.
Yeah, that's parent/child functionality we don't currently have, though we could ape it. If I made 'mamono' a Synonym of 'monster girls', you could search for it independently (or include the wider group) depending on how you used search. But I'm synonymising based on the default, knows-nothing user experience of search, so if I think there's a vague chance someone will want to search for something specific without all the results of another tag, I don't link them.

An example of this is 'marauder era' with 'harry potter' (or 'pre-canon'). If I was designing this tag system for me, the person most familiar with both the tag system and what I've linked, I would very likely be implementing ad hoc parent/child tag relationships all over the place to give myself better results. But most people don't know, so it's better for the majority if they can just search a specific tag wherever on the forum, or click on that tag at the top of a thread, and only get the results they want.

If we had proper parent/child functionality, what I'd have to manipulate search to achieve now would become an option to make the default for everyone everywhere, in which case I could link more things.

So, 'mamono' is a type of monster girl, but not all monster girls are mamono, and a person could conceivably want to only search for (or exclude) mamono?

Adding five specific tags to the mix list from CW

Genderfluid
Genderfluid protag
Magically genderfluid protagonist
Technically genderfluid if you kind of look at it
Vicky is genderfluid

And pretty much every single variation of bisexual has two or more functionally identical tags.
