Possible bug in the "Muted" user category.

    I was looking at my PMs earlier today while I was muted, and I discovered I could still post in PMs while muted (although you still couldn't create a pm conversation).

    This seems like a bug. Is it intentional?

    I'm not sure whether it was intended. I don't think it's necessarily a problem.

    Others should weigh in, though.

    It's intentional. Meant to allow for discussion during appeals and such.

    That would make sense.

    I thought it was a glitch because I couldn't respond to the moderator PM that told me I was muted.

    When a moderator warns someone and issues the PM, they can set an option not to allow replies.
