The version I read had the backstory from the start.

The 2nd one is my preferred one but the first one is also good as it's subtle with the style, I reckon the first one could be better if perhaps if you had the hat on top of something like the dire raven he's possessed currently.
Everyone's loves a Dapper raven with a cool hat.

First one has a better "read". Second one is more dramatic and exciting, but it's hard to distinguish between the edges of the hat and the background, especially around the brim on the right.Been messing around with Demon Hat covers for when I get the story ready for daily uploads. What do you guys think of these cover designs?
I suggest you either make the orange glow around that side of the brim darker, or make the brim itself darker. Or you could make one lighter. As long as there's a stronger contrast.

It's not possible for the Darkseed to possess [Human] hosts. The hybrids are technically half-human.

This line annoyed me a lot for some reason. Rats are intelligent and decently strong willed espescially domesticated. I'll let this passed and just assume the rat he possesses was an old codger or something.

Quick update everyone, last Wednesday Demon Hat went LIVE on Royal Road.
This is the place where you'll be finding its daily updates from now on. The book is #12 trending across the entire site and I couldn't have done it without all of you. You gave me hope and motivation - showing me Ethan's story was one worth telling.
The reason for the move to Royal Road is because LitRPG/Isekai is the main genre there. Royal Road is the place to be if you want to continue following Ethan the Hat's adventures in Argwyll! Book 1 is already finished. It's gonna be a wild ride and I'd love to see you there.
The novel is new and improved, with tons more content, extra chapters that flesh out the lore of Argwyll and Ethan's companions, more insight into Ethan's own backstory, and edited with help from my wonderful readers like you.

That's right, Jao. Unfortunately, Questionable Questing has no mass-delete posts option. This is problematic for authors like me who eventually transition into Kindle Unlimited, because we have to take most of our chapters off other sites to comply with Amazon's exclusivity clause. Having to go through hundreds of posts and delete them individually just isn't feasible and will waste time I would rather spend getting content to my readers at a consistent rate.
Sometimes we have to make tough choices like this. That's why I am providing the link to where my story will be hosted from now on.

While I actually sort of agree with the sentiment of being upset about the switch and/or takedown stuff that happens in these cases, I'm also always happy to see authors actually getting paid for their work. I'm still waiting for a bit of extra cash to pick up another story I really like that went this way.
